Clipbook’s mission: reinvent how leaders listen to and engage the world.
We are the vertical AI category leader for the $100 billion communications, public relations, and public affairs industries.
Since 2023, we have quietly grown into the largest AI company in this segment. We are backed by leading investors - including Mark Cuban, who co-led our seed round.
A bit more about us:

  • We bootstrapped to our first million in ARR and hit profitability before raising our $3.3 million seed round last year.

  • We’re currently growing >10% month-over-month and on track to >4x ARR this year.

  • We’re working with 200+ clients including the Boston Consulting Group, Weber Shandwick, StockX, and dozens of government agencies across the country.

What You’ll Do

  • Office of the CEO (70-80%)

    • Serve as mission-critical “right hand” to the CEO, managing a rapidly growing team of ~16+ staff

    • Oversight and administration of the CEO’s office across all aspects of the business (E.g. scheduling, correspondence management, client follow-ups, etc.),

    • Occasional ‘personal’ portfolio / administrative tasks as necessary

  • Clipbook Operations (10-20%)

    • Support and/or own range of administrative & back-office functions, including but not limited to payroll & finance; interfacing with legal & accounting partners (e.g. lawyers, accounting, etc.); document preparation, etc. alongside CEO.

    • Manage and execute special projects on behalf of the CEO across sales, growth, client delivery, and business operations (e.g. operational support for marketing events or industry conferences)

This role is a good fit if:

  • Thrive in jet-fueled environments & enjoy bringing structure to the natural chaos of a startup

  • Are extremely detailed oriented and strive to never let any balls drop

  • Pride yourself on your responsiveness across every method (email, call, text, Slack)

  • Have excellent execution capability & hustle and willingness to work with a quickly growing, scrapping, and passionate startup team

  • Display strong written and verbal communication skills & are comfortable interfacing with very senior stakeholders externally

  • Are willing to roll up your sleeves to be helpful and supportive wherever possible

  • Are willing to learn rapidly (eg back office startup functions)

This is not the best fit for you if:

  • You are looking for a “punch in, punch out” job

  • Are not committed to succeeding in a role over an extended period of time

Other notes:

  • You’ll be my right hand in everything across the business. This role is mostly behind the scenes, not always glamorous, but you will have a critical birds-eye view to everything.

Hours: working model & comp: Full-time & often in-person with the CEO. San Francisco / Bay Area based.

Compensation: Highly competitive based on experience; starting at $170,000 USD (commiserate with experience) with full medical, dental, and vision benefits; 401k, unlimited / flexible PTO policy; and upward comp mobility as role expands

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
