The EW Architect will define products in electronic warfare, interface with Pentagon and defense entities, and influence military programs and budgets.

CX2 is looking for a EW Architect who is one part EW guru, one part model & simulation wrangler and one part tech evangelist to help us sell our vision of next generation electronic warfare to the Pentagon and broader EW community.
This individual will be responsible for helping us to define our products in the broader context of the Pentagon’s warfighting and procurement enterprise including interfacing with force capability planners, wargaming and simulation experts and requirements working groups. They will help us shape the Pentagon’s thinking and later roadmaps and budget programming requests as we seek to create new EW Programs of Record for the unique capabilities we are creating.
Overall Qualifications
- 10 years experience working with complex EW or RF sensing programs on the acquisition side
- Experience working with force capability planning, modeling & simulation
- Understands Pentagon budgeting and how programs “Cross the Acquisition Valley of Death”
- MS/PhD preferred in a related field
- Currently possess a US Secret Security Clearance; Top Secret preferred
- Experience working with program execution offices (PEOs) and Defense RFPs
- Understanding of modeling & simulation and wargaming simulations such as suppressor, brawler and other tools
- Firm understanding of modern and legacy EW systems and how they are employed
- Knowledge of enemy EW, radar and Comm systems and doctrine as to how they are employed
- Exposure to autonomous systems and their deployment on the battlefield
- Background in modern modeling & simulation tools including factor space (Monte Carlo) methods as well as gaming environments such as Steam and Unreal
- Significant (5-10 years) experience with analysis of alternatives and trade studies, MOE and MOP analysis
- Be able to support program formation stage and evangelism inside the pentagon, labs, DARPA, and other agencies
- Exposure to the PPBE process including milestone A, milestone B, analysis of alternatives and how programs move from the lab to the FYDP/POM (force planning roadmaps)

- Ability to work extended hours and/or weekends as needed for mission critical deadlines.

- Membership/participation in AOC
- Speak fluent justification book (J-Book)
- OODA loop understanding
- Passion for building, tinkering with and flying drones
