A Business Intelligence Engineer II at EverCommerce is a data professional responsible for developing and managing the company's BI infrastructure to provide actionable insights. Key responsibilities include creating and maintaining data pipelines and ETL processes, designing data models, collaborating with stakeholders to understand business requirements, and optimizing BI solutions. The role requires skills in SQL, data warehousing, BI tools like Looker or Power BI, and data modeling, with Python and ETL tools like Airflow being beneficial.
Key responsibilities
- Data Integration and Management: Building and maintaining ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes and data pipelines.
- Data Modeling: Designing and implementing data models for efficient reporting and analysis.
- Collaboration: Working with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to define requirements and deliver solutions.
- Optimization: Continuously improving BI processes and tools for performance and scalability.
- Analytics: Transforming data into actionable insights to support business strategy and decision-making.
Required skills and experience
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in SQL, data warehousing concepts, and BI tools (e.g., Looker, Power BI). Experience with scripting languages like Python is a plus.
- Data Modeling: Strong skills in data modeling, including dimensional modeling and star schemas.
- Tools: Experience with tools such as Airflow, dbt, and Databricks is highly encouraged.
- Experience: Typically requires at least 2 years of experience in a BI engineering or data analysis role.
- Soft Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Working conditions
- Location: The role is fully remote and can be based anywhere in the United States or Canada.
- Travel: Minimal travel is required, though occasional travel up to four times a year for planning may be requested.
- Sponsorship: Candidates must be eligible to work without sponsorship.

Compensation: The target base compensation for this position is $80,000 to $90,000 USD per year in most US locations. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including location, local market variances, and candidate experience and expertise, and may vary from the amounts listed above.
