Events & Regional Marketing Specialist - South

Role Description: As an Events & Regional Marketing Specialist, you will play a key role in the planning and execution of industry events, conferences, and trade shows that drive brand awareness and lead generation. You will be responsible for event logistics, coordinating registrations, managing vendors, and ensuring a seamless on-site experience. Your experience in event planning, attention to detail, and ability to execute efficiently will be crucial to the success of our events program. You are expected to travel to our bigger conferences for support, roughly 20% of your time.

For this role, you must live in the South, with a slight preference towards living in FL or the Eastern Time zone.

Responsibilities:

In this role, you will be responsible for driving to the following outcomes:

  • Ensure flawless event execution by managing logistics such as registration, booth setup, electrical and A/V needs, and shipping materials.

  • Maintain an organized event calendar and track deadlines, deliverables, and cross-functional team responsibilities.

  • Support lead generation efforts by coordinating pre-event marketing, lead capture, and post-event follow-up processes.

  • Manage vendor and venue coordination to secure contracts, negotiate pricing, and oversee event-related purchases.

  • Assist in event reporting and analysis to measure success, track ROI, and provide recommendations for future improvements.

Experience & Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you’ll bring the following experience and qualifications:

  • Experience in event planning and coordination – you’ve handled logistics, vendor management, and event setup.

  • Strong organizational skills to juggle multiple deadlines and details while keeping projects on track.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work across teams and with external partners.

  • Ability to problem-solve on-site and adapt to last-minute changes with a calm, solutions-oriented mindset.

  • Basic knowledge of marketing tools and CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, Pardot/Account Engagement, Asana, or similar).

  • Proactive Planning: Actively anticipate event needs, deadlines, and potential challenges, taking initiative to strategize and implement solutions before issues arise.

Experience:

Required:

  • 2+ years of experience in event coordination, marketing, or related fields.

  • Hands-on experience managing event logistics, including registrations, electrical setup, and vendor coordination.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience in EdTech, SaaS, or education-related industries.

  • Exposure to digital marketing, event promotions, or CRM systems.
