Events Marketing Manager, Field Marketing (Remote)

Full-Time, Remote / Salary, Exempt / Includes Benefits, PTO, Flexible Schedule, Equity

Steno is growing! We’re looking for an Events Marketing Manager to join our winning team, which is revolutionizing the court reporting industry every single day. We’re a diverse team from all over the country (and beyond) and we’re crazy about redefining the boundaries of an outdated industry.

In this role, you will lead end-to-end execution, coordination, and communications of our event portfolio. Reporting to the Director of Field Marketing, this role plays a central part in ensuring events are well-planned, effectively communicated, and executed as a collective team effort.

Who are you?

This person will be hands-on in full-cycle event planning, from building timelines and coordinating cross-functional inputs to managing pre- and post-event communications. This role ensures that all moving parts come together into a consistent, high-quality program that drives measurable business outcomes.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in operational, collaborative roles. The ideal candidate balances detailed planning with strong communication and enjoys bringing events to life both on and off the "show floor".

If you’re looking for a company that offers support, guidance, an abundance of killer giphys, and unlimited potential to grow into your best self, you can bet we’d love to have you too.

On a regular basis you will

  • Lead full-cycle event execution, including venue sourcing, floor planning, audio-visual production, catering, and booth design/build across the company’s event portfolio.
  • Oversee sponsor deliverables, ensuring obligations are met and value is maximized.
  • Manage timelines, run-of-show documents, and onsite logistics across multiple events simultaneously.
  • Partner with multiple teams to manage pre-event preparation, onsite execution, and post-event follow-up
  • Support event design elements (booth layout, activations, hospitality) to ensure strong brand presence.
  • Partner with content and integrated marketing teams to develop event-specific campaigns, including emails, nurture streams, landing pages, and promotional copy.
  • Develop sales enablement resources such as playbooks, briefing docs, and outreach templates in collaboration with marketing and sales stakeholders.
  • Ensure consistent pre-, during-, and post-event communications for attendees, prospects, and clients.
  • Consolidate performance data into reports and insights for leadership and sales teams.

You’re gonna crush it if

  • You have 4-5 years of B2B event marketing and trade show experience
  • You have 1-2 years of experience managing a team
  • You have proven ability to manage events end-to-end, from planning to post-event reporting
  • You have the willingness and ability to travel up to 50% of the time
  • You have a strong background in event communications and sales enablement support
  • You're a skilled project manager, comfortable managing timelines, workflows, and cross-team coordination
  • You have experience with event tech platforms, CRM, and marketing automation systems like Asana
  • You have excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • You're organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple events simultaneously

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary - $110,000 - $130,000
  • Health, Vision, & Dental Benefits - generous company-sponsored health plans for both employees and dependents, including comprehensive vision & dental
  • Wellness/Mental Health - shared benefits to be used among employees and families
  • Flexible Paid Time Off - allowing employees to find balance in their lives
  • Options of Equity - we know our success is nothing without our team
  • Access to a 401k through Guideline
  • A home office setup and a monthly stipend to offset internet and phone costs

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
