Reports to: Head of Consumer Marketing

Role Summary:

We are seeking an experienced, highly organized Events Marketing Manager to lead our influencer, press, user engagement, and acquisition events (both B2B and B2C) strategy. You’ll play a key role in creating buzzworthy experiences across the U.S. including at inKind partner restaurants and larger events such as conferences, working cross-functionally with our Marketing, Sales, Business Development and Partner Success teams to elevate our restaurant relationships, grow corporate and holiday bookings, and promote inKind’s brand. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments, loves food and hospitality, and knows how to turn a great idea into a meticulously executed event.
Who You Are:

  • You’re a natural connector who thrives on creating memorable, meaningful experiences that drive brand love and loyalty.

  • You have a deep appreciation for hospitality and understand what makes a guest feel truly taken care of.

  • You balance creativity with operational excellence—dream big, then execute with precision.

  • Eager to work in a collaborative environment, bouncing ideas off others and celebrating shared successes

  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment, juggling priorities and tasks with a responsive and thoughtful approach

Responsibilities/Essential Functions:

  • Plan and execute influencer dinners, media events, VIP user experiences, and user and restaurant partner acquisition events at inKind partner restaurants and larger events across key U.S. markets

  • Develop creative concepts and guest lists that align with marketing objectives and brand voice

  • Own end-to-end logistics: sourcing venues (primarily our partner restaurants), managing invites, vendor coordination, F&B planning, onsite support, and post-event recaps

  • Act as a liaison to help partner restaurants attract and close more high-value bookings (e.g., corporate parties, team dinners, holiday events)

  • Work closely with the Marketing, Sales, Business Development, and Partner Success teams to align event initiatives with broader business goals.

  • Coordinate with content, social, and PR teams to amplify event storytelling before, during, and after each activation.

  • Set KPIs and analyze ROI for event performance including attendance, social impressions, customer acquisition, and revenue impact.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 3–5 years of experience in event marketing, experiential marketing, hospitality marketing, or a related role

  • Proven track record executing high-touch events with influencers, press, and brand partners

  • Excellent communication, organizational, and project management skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in or with restaurants/hospitality

  • Familiarity with tools like Jira & Canva

Work Environment:

  • The candidate in this position will be located primarily in-person, with an expectation of in-person work at the physical office location in Austin, TX

  • Ability to travel up to 20% of the time to oversee events in key markets

Some of our Benefits:

  • Generous PTO and company holiday policy + company paid Short Term Disability

  • 100% employer covered health and dental insurance for our direct employees (a set plan is covered, with higher tier healthcare coverage available at employee’s additional cost; dependent coverage is at employee’s cost); vision plan available at employee’s additional cost

  • Child Care Benefits and generous parental leave

  • Dog-friendly workspace in a secure building with great views of downtown Austin

  • Daily lunches and snacks

Salary:

  • $95,000-$105,000, DOE

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
