The Event Technical Specialist supports major events, coordinating logistics, budgets, and schedules while maintaining client relationships and ensuring production needs are met.
Position Summary
The role of the Event Technical Specialist will support and execute all major events including the Los Angeles Rams, Los Angeles Chargers, and all private events, while maintaining relationships with appropriate internal departments, vendors, contractors, and agencies required for the completion of each project.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Assist with the planning for Hollywood Park, SoFi Stadium, and the YouTube Theater major and private events
- Attending event meetings on behalf of Broadcast Operations and reporting back all needs for production
- Attending site visits to coordinate event needs
- Obtaining all information needed to process accurate quotes
- Coordinating and attending meetings with event leads and clients as needed
- Attending the coordinated event as needed
- Assist reviewing upcoming calendar of events and verify and assign resources of operators, equipment, and utilities
- Assist with logistics with part-time crew, meals, deliveries, visitor protocols, and vendors
- Work with Broadcast Operations team to manage scheduling logistics with vendors and other traveling broadcast personnel
- Following-up with internal and external quotes, receipts, and invoices
- Troubleshooting labor submissions, invoices, and all reported information submitted for each event
- Assist with event settlements
- Assist with coordinating any team training with vendors
- Creating and updating department forms, maps, and diagrams for internal and external events as needed
- Coordinating digital assets that are submitted for all events
- Assisting with restocking/organizing office supplies, merchandise, and break area as needed
- Support department with special projects
- Assist with post event reporting
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree emphasis in Video Production or Administrative
- 5-10 years’ work experience in video and live production
- Experience working in Sports Entertainment
- Knowledge of live broadcast productions equipment and workflow
- Knowledge of FileMaker
- Google Sheets, Docs and Slides (or related business software solutions)
- Develop and maintain professional business relationships with our clients and partners
- Lead meetings, provide updates and communicate clearly
- Flexible in working hours including nights, weekends and holidays when needed
- Ability to adjust responsibilities as we develop new opportunities

Additional Qualifications
- Mac OS
- 1 year experience with administrative work
- Ability to understand Run-of-Shows, scripts and ShoFlo (shoflo.tv)
- Understanding of video control room systems, operations, and workflow
- Must be able to assist with COVID regulations as they get updated
