The Marketing & Communications Team

The Marketing & Communications team elevates ZS' brand visibility, distributes thought leadership, and supports business growth through strategic communications and impactful events.
Role Overview
We are seeking an Event Marketing Associate to join our Marketing & Communications team in Chicago, IL. Reporting to the Event Marketing Lead, this role will support the planning and execution of both digital and in-person events, including ZS-hosted experiences and externally sponsored conferences and speaking engagements.
This is a great opportunity for someone with several years of professional marketing or event experience who is ready to grow within a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
What You'll Do:
  • Support the contracting, planning and execution of various B2B events, including industry events, trade shows, webinars and ZS hosted events
  • Support event operations, including timelines, budgets, project plans, vendor estimates and reconciliation, list uploads, and communication with internal teams and external vendors
  • Build project plans and book meetings with stakeholders to ensure timelines are met
  • Assist in lead management practices, including identifying target accounts for stakeholders
  • Travel to assist with on-site event execution
  • Monitor and track event performance, helping deliver post-event reports and insights
  • Contribute creative ideas to enhance event experiences and outcomes
  • Research industry trends and competitors to ensure ZS events stand out as innovative and impactful.

What You'll Bring:
  • Bachelor's degree
  • 2+ years of experience supporting or managing professional events(e.g., webinars, trade shows, roundtables, conferences) preferablyB2B
  • Familiarity with event marketing platforms (Cvent and ON24) is a plus
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Comfortable working with cross-functional teams and multiple stakeholders
  • High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
