This customer-facing role is essential to delivering a premium ownership journey—from the first interaction to long-term brand engagement.

In this role, you’ll drive the end-to-end sales process while creating memorable, luxury experiences in our studios, at events, and through roadshow activations. Job Responsibilities

  • Engage customers in both Mandarin and English, delivering personalized product presentations, studio appointments, and test drives.
  • Manage the full sales lifecycle: lead qualification, demos/test drives, proposals, negotiations, purchase coordination, delivery, and post-delivery engagement.
  • Represent SHMA at studios, events, roadshows, and activations, ensuring premium, culturally fluent experiences.
  • Maintain accurate pipeline activity in the CRM; execute timely follow-ups and achieve personal sales/KPI targets.
  • Master and communicate AFEELA vehicle features, charging solutions, and connected services in both languages with clarity and confidence.
  • Support customer onboarding and long-term loyalty, including service coordination and owner events.
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Delivery, Service, and Product teams to align customer communications and handoffs.
  • Provide customer insights, particularly from Mandarin-speaking clients, to shape sales strategies and improve brand experiences.

Required Qualifications for Position

  • 2–5 years of success in premium automotive, luxury retail, or high-tech sales, with a record of exceeding sales goals.
  • Bilingual fluency in Mandarin and English (verbal and written); ability to explain technical concepts clearly in both languages.
  • Full sales cycle experience—from prospecting to close and beyond.
  • Strong interpersonal and presentation skills with a consultative, customer-first approach.
  • Comfort working on-site in a fast-paced, startup environment with flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Willingness to travel frequently across the Bay Area and throughout California (Fremont, San Francisco, San Jose, San Diego, Beverly Hills).
  • Proficiency in CRM platforms and productivity tools (Microsoft Office / Google Workspace).
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

Preferred Qualifications for Position

  • Experience in EV or direct-to-consumer automotive sales.
  • Background in luxury/premium brand sales or high-touch experiential retail.
  • Experience in event or roadshow activations, or studio operations.

  • Travel Requirements: Frequent travel across California; occasional out-of-state or international travel may be required.
  • Role Structure: Full-time and part-time opportunities available; lead-track for high-performing candidates.
  • Visa Sponsorship: Not available.
  • Confidentiality: All applications will be treated as strictly confidential.

Benefits

  • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision benefits
  • Flexible Working Policy
  • Paid parental leave
  • 401k Program
  • “Take What You Need” time off policy, with a minimum of 15 days off per year, and holiday breaks

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
