Riot Games was founded in 2006 to develop, publish, and support the most player-focused games in the world. We’re best known for League of Legends, VALORANT, Teamfight Tactics, and Legends of Runeterra—and we continue to build new experiences across games, music, entertainment, and esports.

Esports at Riot is a cornerstone of how we celebrate competition and fandom. From the League of Legends World Championship to VALORANT Champions, we bring players, fans, and partners together at a global scale. Our team crafts partnerships and programs that elevate the esports ecosystem and deliver unmatched value to fans and brands alike.

As an Esports Partner Solutions Lead, you’ll shape the strategic foundation of Riot’s global esports partnerships — architecting scalable systems, frameworks, and content programs that power partner success across our portfolio of games and events.

You’ll serve as a strategic connector between Riot’s business development, creative, and production functions — ensuring every partnership activation leverages the full storytelling and digital capabilities of the Riot esports ecosystem. Central to your work will be the creation, ownership, and continuous evolution of Riot’s global esports inventory and content systems, ensuring consistency, clarity, and innovation in how Riot delivers value to partners and players alike.

Responsibilities:
  • Esports Inventory Ownership:
Lead the development and stewardship of Riot’s centralized global esports inventory book. Define a clear taxonomy, maintain asset visibility across titles and events, and ensure alignment between partner packaging and strategic objectives. Collaborate with regional teams to scale the framework globally.
  • Digital Content Management:
Partner with Broadcast, Creative, and Publishing to curate, manage, and distribute digital content assets across Riot’s esports ecosystem. Build structured processes for tracking usage, approvals, and rights management to ensure consistency and high-quality delivery across digital and social channels.
  • Strategic Ownership:
Drive the partner solutions roadmap across Riot’s esports titles, aligning asset strategy, packaging, and go-to-market narratives with long-term brand and commercial goals.
  • Pitch Development & Sales Enablement:
Develop high-impact pitch decks, sales toolkits, and case studies that articulate Riot’s esports value proposition, showcase creative opportunities, and support new business and renewal conversations. Create scalable templates and storytelling frameworks that empower BD and Partner Management teams globally.
  • Cross-Functional Leadership:
Lead coordination between Esports BD, Partner Management, Creative, Legal, and Broadcast to ensure flawless partner delivery and scalable operational execution.
  • Insights & ROI:
Partner with research vendors (YouGov, Nielsen, etc.) to develop performance measurement frameworks that link digital content, asset utilization, and fan engagement to partner ROI.
  • Pipeline & Reporting:
Oversee Salesforce-driven dashboards and reports tracking partnership health, inventory usage, and pipeline velocity—ensuring visibility into key business metrics and performance indicators.
  • Process Innovation:
Build and refine internal documentation, approval flows, and asset management systems that streamline how global teams access and deploy esports assets.
Required Qualifications:
  • 8+ years of experience in partner management, sponsorship strategy, strategic operations, or consulting—ideally in esports, sports, or entertainment.
  • Proven experience developing or managing asset management or content systems for brand or sponsorship portfolios.
  • Demonstrated excellence in building pitch decks, sales narratives, and executive presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Exceptional communication, organization, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Advanced proficiency with CRM and inventory management tools (e.g., Salesforce, Airtable, Sponsorship Inventory).
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to synthesize insights into actionable business strategies.
  • Deep understanding of the esports ecosystem, event operations, and sponsorship models.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead large, cross-functional initiatives across global teams.
Desired Qualifications:
  • Experience scaling digital content ecosystems or inventory management frameworks in sports or entertainment.
  • Familiarity with asset rights management, metadata systems, or creative production pipelines.
  • Financial literacy and comfort with forecasting, ROI modeling, and pipeline management.
  • Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and align diverse teams around shared goals.
  • Passion for elevating fan and partner experiences through strategic storytelling and digital innovation.

For this role, you'll find success through craft expertise, a collaborative spirit, and decision-making that prioritizes the delight of players. What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
