Purpose of the Role
Lead and manage the SAP-focused Parts Sales application team, ensuring operational excellence and continuous enhancement of SAP applications to support Hyundai/Kia America’s parts sales business. This role oversees the full software development lifecycle (SDLC), drives strategic alignment, and manages team performance to deliver high-quality solutions.
Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Oversight: Direct operations and enhancement initiatives for SAP (S/4HANA) Parts applications, ensuring alignment with business goals.
  • System Integrity: Maintain seamless integration of SAP applications with internal systems and external partner platforms.
  • Solution Delivery: Plan and execute projects to deliver innovative SAP solutions that meet evolving business needs.
  • Team Leadership: Manage team performance in ticket processing, on-time delivery, and quality standards; establish metrics and foster continuous improvement.
  • Resource Optimization: Allocate and optimize team resources to maximize efficiency and responsiveness.
  • Global Coordination: Align local team activities with global service plans and organizational priorities.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the primary liaison for sponsors, providing clear and timely updates on application services and projects.

Essential Functions:
Service Leadership:
  • Maintain Expertise: Keep a deep understanding of SAP solutions, integrations, and security requirements for S/4HANA Parts applications.
  • Strategic Alignment: Ensure compliance with IT transition standards, strategic goals, and company-wide policies while fostering collaboration with global IT teams.
  • Client & Stakeholder Engagement: Build strong relationships with business owners and sponsors, lead prioritization discussions, and provide proactive client service.
  • Operational Oversight: Monitor workloads, adjust resource assignments, and track KPIs; conduct weekly status meetings and report progress to management.
  • Incident & Risk Management: Act as Incident Manager for critical issues, perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and address risks promptly.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify business needs, propose new IT services or enhancements, and implement performance improvements based on KPI reviews.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Coordinate with HAEA departments, Hyundai Motor Group HQ, RHQ, sister companies, and production site IT teams to ensure holistic support.
Management & Administration
  • Program & Project Oversight: Provide guidance on project management methodologies and act as technical lead or project manager for small to mid-sized initiatives.
  • Budget Management: Own the full budget lifecycle, including planning, forecasting, monitoring utilization, and justifying changes throughout the fiscal year.
  • Procurement & Vendor Relations: Oversee purchase orders, vendor management, contractor time tracking, and perform TCO analysis for contracts and quotes.
  • HR & Team Administration: Manage approvals for time tracking, onboarding, job descriptions, and goal evaluations; ensure optimal work environment and device management.
  • Security & Compliance: Address service exceptions, particularly security-related issues, and ensure adherence to organizational policies.
  • Solution Architecture Contribution: Participate in architecture discussions to support strategic IT initiatives.
  • Operational Leadership: Set clear priorities for day-to-day operations and ensure effective resource allocation across projects.

Must-Have Skills
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or equivalent experience.
  • SAP Expertise: 8+ years of progressive SAP experience, including 3–5+ years in a leadership role managing SAP operations and support.
  • S/4HANA Experience: Hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA, including at least one major implementation or migration project.
  • Core Competencies: Strong skills in SAP operations management (incident, problem, change), project leadership, and vendor management.
  • Business Knowledge: Solid understanding of sales, logistics, and supply chain processes, ideally within distribution or retail.
  • Technical Knowledge: Proficiency in SAP modules (SD, MM, FI integration), SAP Basis concepts, system architecture, and security.
  • Soft Skills: Exceptional leadership, communication, analytical, and stakeholder management abilities.

Nice-to-Have Skills
  • Relevant certifications such as SAP S/4HANA, PMP, or ITIL.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Korean.
  • Experience contributing to solution architecture discussions.

Salary Range - $118,650 - $182,710
