WHAT YOU'LL DO

As a key member of the Total Rewards team, this role will strengthen the foundation of Braze’s total equity compensation programs and strategy, while driving scalability and preparing the Company for its next phase of growth. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Compensation, you will innovate, and drive efficiencies though continued evaluation of our equity platform and the business processes associated with equity administration. 

  • Own all aspects of the global equity plan administration, including transaction processing and data entry, reconciliations/audits for quality control and all related tax reporting
  • Build and maintain a competitive equity compensation strategy that motivates performance, is fiscally responsible, and supports the attraction and retention of high-performing talent
  • Oversee the communication and education of equity compensation programs aligned with our compensation philosophy
  • Timely scheduling and preparation of the grant exhibit for Board approval
  • Process new equity grants with attention to accuracy and completeness
  • Process all grants, exercises, share issuances and repurchases of unvested stock
  • Prepare the quarterly and yearly financial statement disclosures for equity plans and stock-based compensation
  • Provide accurate and complete reporting to record the monthly stock-based compensation expense
  • Ensure that all equity-related internal controls are operating effectively
  • Collaborate with Executives, Finance, People Team, Legal, and other teams to anticipate, implement and/or address equity compensation matters
  • Identify and implement improvements to the global equity administration process
  • Provide a high level of service responding to inquiries from current, former, and potential employees about the equity plan, enrollment, and transactions
  • Help develop and deliver employee education, trainings, and communications

WHO YOU ARE

  • Bachelors Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance
  • 5+ years of solid experience with E*Trade platform or other equity platform
  • 2+ years of experience in stock administration at a publicly traded company
  • Experience with Executive Compensation preferred
  • Experience with Federal and State taxation on equity compensation
  • Solid understanding of SOX controls
  • Comprehensive understanding of different types of equity awards
  • Public company experience required
  • Highly organized and results-oriented and works with a sense of urgency
  • Ability to meet strict deadlines
  • Advanced Excel skills and comfortable using Google Workspace
  • Experience administering an ESPP is a plus
  • Certified Equity Professional (CEP) is a plus

For candidates based in the United States, the pay range for this position at the start of employment is expected to be between $154,000.00 - $171,000.00/year with an expected On Target Earnings (OTE) between $171,000.00 - $190,000.00/year (including bonus or commission). Your exact offer may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. In addition to cash compensation, Braze offers full- and part- time employees a comprehensive Total Rewards package that includes equity grants of restricted stock (RSUs) so that all Braze employees own a piece of our company.
