Currently accepting applications for our 2027 Full-Time Program from undergraduate students graduating between December 2026 and July 2027.
The Citadel Associate Program (CAP) is designed to develop exceptional early-career talent into associates on Citadel's equities platform. As a participant in the program, you will experience first-hand long/short equities investing from inside one of the world's leading alternative investment firms. Working directly with portfolio managers, analysts, and educators across Citadel's equities business, you will build financial models, analyze companies and industries, evaluate investment opportunities, work with external data sources, contribute to research projects, and participate in investment discussions and pitching.
Hands-on training is combined with real-time application, giving participants direct experience with the analytical rigor, research process, and premier data, technology, and risk systems that support Citadel's investment platform The goal of CAP is to develop the skills, judgment, and investing process required to grow into a future portfolio manager.
Your Objectives
In accordance with applicable law, the base salary range for this role is $125,000 to $135,000.
In addition, the employee who fills this role will be eligible to participate in a discretionary incentive compensation program, as well as a wide array of benefit programs, such as medical and life insurance, retirement and tax-free savings plans, and access to other healthcare programs.

- Build financial modeling, company analysis, and investment research capabilities
- Learn how to evaluate businesses, industries, and investment opportunities through a bottom-up research process
- Work directly with portfolio managers, analysts, and investment teams across Citadel's equities business
- Develop the ability to synthesize data, research, and market information into well-supported investment views
- Gain experience with the technology, data, and risk systems that support Citadel's investment platform

Required Skills
- Current undergraduate student graduating in 2027
- Demonstrated interest in public markets, investing, business analysis, or fundamental research
- Strong academic performance and intellectual curiosity
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- High degree of self-motivation, professionalism, integrity, and coachability
- Ability to thrive in a rigorous, fast-paced, and highly collaborative environment
- Strong analytical and quantitative aptitude with exceptional attention to detail
- Desire and ability to learn financial modeling, valuation, and company analysis techniques
- Ability to synthesize incomplete and imperfect information into thoughtful, well-supported views
- Interest in using data, technology, and research tools to support investment analysis
- No prior finance experience required, though exposure to finance, accounting, economics, engineering, computer science, data analysis, or business research is a plus
