Position Overview

Our Client is seeking an experienced Epic Cadence Analyst to provide Epic product function, design, build, and testing expertise for Epic Patient Access applications, including Prelude and Cadence. This role will partner closely with Patient Access stakeholders to design, build, and improve scheduling, registration, admission, authorization, and patient throughput workflows across the organization.

Location & Work Environment

This role is primarily remote, with onsite visits as needed to support project, go-live, or operational requirements. Some 24/7 on-call coverage may be required to support production application incidents.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with end users to design and build the Epic system in a timely and professional manner, making corrective configuration or enhancements as needed
  • Work closely with Patient Access users to design, build, and improve scheduling, registration, admission, authorization, and patient throughput workflows
  • Lead medium to large complexity Epic software upgrade initiatives or workflow enhancements, including design, build, and test phases
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for Epic Patient Access modules and workflows
  • Participate in design and validation sessions, ensuring appropriate documentation, follow-up, and issue escalation
  • Identify system optimization and enhancement opportunities, collaborating with vendors and IT analysts to design and implement effective solutions
  • Configure and build visit types, work queues, registration forms, referral templates, and provider records
  • Perform in-depth analysis of workflows, data collection, report details, and other technical issues associated with Epic software
  • Support application incidents reported through the help desk, including 24/7 on-call coverage as required
  • Work with trainers to develop and maintain application-specific training curriculum and materials
  • Mentor team members on Epic functionality, workflows, documentation, best practices, and change management
  • Facilitate communication with stakeholders from initial requirements through final implementation
  • Troubleshoot and/or resolve application issues, escalating more complex issues as appropriate
  • Adhere to organization standards for system configuration and change control
  • Develop strong relationships with end-user communities, customers, and business partners
  • Attend, participate in, and contribute to meetings throughout the facility


Requirements

Requirements

  • 4+ years healthcare experience
  • Active/current Epic certification in Cadence
  • 4+ years of direct client healthcare domain knowledge, such as patient flow, scheduling, registration, Real Time Eligibility, and Insurance Verification
  • 4+ years of Subject Matter Expertise (SME) in relevant applications
  • Decision Tree experience

Preferred Skills

  • 2+ years of demonstrated team management (informal or formal), cross-team communication, and leadership skills
  • Active/current Epic certification in Prelude or Referrals
  • Completed Epic CEE (Continued Epic Education) to maintain certifications, proficiencies, and badges
  • 4+ years of knowledge in policies and procedures related to operational functions
