We are seeking an experienced Environmental Law Attorney to advise clients on compliance, litigation, and regulatory matters involving federal, state, and local environmental laws. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in environmental regulations such as the Clean Air Act, Clean Water Act, CERCLA, RCRA, CEQA, and NEPA.
Job DescriptionProvide legal counsel on environmental compliance, permitting, enforcement, and remediation
Represent clients in administrative proceedings, environmental litigation, and negotiations with regulatory agencies
Draft and review legal documents including regulatory filings, contracts, and environmental disclosures
Advise on environmental risks related to real estate transactions, infrastructure, and industrial development
Monitor changes in environmental law and policy and advise clients on regulatory developments
Collaborate with clients, internal teams, government agencies, and outside consultants to resolve environmental issues
Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
Licensed and in good standing with a U.S. State Bar (California Bar preferred)
3–7 years of experience in environmental law, preferably in both transactional and litigation contexts
In-depth knowledge of federal and California environmental statutes and regulations
Strong research, writing, and advocacy skills
Ability to manage complex legal and regulatory matters independently
