The Boeing Company is looking for a Environmental Control Tech Bto join our team in Seattle, WA.
Independently work from specifications, technical orders, permits and government regulations and written or verbal instructions to accomplish environmental activities to identify, label, collect, transport, temporarily store, prepare-for-shipment for off-site disposal, treat, recycle and repackage hazardous wastes. Maintain a working knowledge of State, local and Federal regulations regarding hazardous waste management. Collect and ensure proper segregation, labeling and documentation of hazardous waste containers and collection areas. Sort and classify hazardous waste and materials which are not readily identified. Check hazardous wastes containers for proper labeling. Determine proper waste disposal and processing method by checking established criteria and evaluating was designations, recognizing deviation and correcting to assure compliance. Operate and wastes, other industrial wastes and accomplish associated activities such as masking routine inspections of hazardous waste collection sites. Provide remedial action and cleanup of hazardous waste/materials spills.
Technicians in this job receive, inspect, kit, dispense, deliver and maintain an inventory of chemicals and supplies. Serve as an information resource on hazardous materials through maintaining a working knowledge of Local, State and Federal regulations. Provide proper waste disposal and processing of hazardous waste materials. Respond to environmental hazard spills, working closely with Boeing and outside agencies emergency response units.
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.
This position must meet export control compliance requirements. To meet export control compliance requirements, a "U.S. Person" as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 is required. "U.S. Person" includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

- Operate and assure assigned equipment is maintained such as fork trucks, pickup trucks, and other motorized vehicles used for the sole purposes of transporting, storing, cleanup and containment of hazardous wastes and materials; this is not intended to allow infringement into other job activities currently identified in other job classifications.
- For assigned vehicles: Refuel vehicles, check vehicles or equipment and report required maintenance.
- Obtain and maintain any certifications and qualification required for handling of hazardous waste and materials.
- Perform data entry/retrieval and analysis associated with work assignment.
- Assists in and gives advice and guidance associated with work assignment.
- Perform receiving, inspection, record keeping, storage, inventory, dispensing, labeling, kiting, ordering and distribution of hazardous materials.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills and Experience):
- 1+ years or more experience working with Microsoft Office suite
- 1+ years or more experience handling and disposing hazardous materials according to government regulations
- 1+ years or more experience working with hazardous material management, and responding to chemical/material spills

- 1+ years or more experience executing data entry, retrieval and inventory management
