Why You Should Be Excited

You're joining at an inflection point. We've built a successful lead generation business across multiple verticals. Now we're expanding our carrier-direct strategy in Property & Casualty (P&C) Insurance. This role puts you at the center of that growth:

  • Proven business, new frontier: Well-established company with existing demand, now expanding our Tier 1 carrier demand.
  • Build something that matters: Create partnerships that drive real revenue impact and shape our next growth phase.
  • Full ownership: Own the entire sales cycle from sourcing to close; your wins directly fuel company growth.

MUST HAVE

  • 7+ years of experience in performance marketing, insurance, or enterprise sales, selling leads, calls, or direct acquisition programs to carriers.
  • Proven success owning and closing complex deals with large enterprise clients in regulated industries.
  • Deep understanding of the P&C landscape, with a strong grasp of how carriers think about direct marketing and customer acquisition.

COMPETENCIES

  • Ability to thrive in a cross-functional environment and lead internal alignment on deal requirements and execution.
  • Strong analytical and negotiation skills — comfortable building ROI-based business cases and navigating long sales cycles.
  • High level of accountability, curiosity, and ownership — motivated to grow demand and increase monetization through coverage and deal structure.
  • Experience with performance marketing tracking tools and CRM platforms like Pipedrive or Salesforce.

ROLE OUTCOMES (Performance Expectations)

  • Own the Sales Cycle: Prospect, pitch, negotiate, and close new lead and call buyers in the P&C space — with a strong focus on Tier 1 carriers and regional players open to direct response customer acquisition.
  • Drive Demand Growth: Expand our base of demand partners, with a focus on building scalable lead and call buying programs that deliver volume and efficiency across geographies.
  • Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with Account Management, Product, Legal, and Yield teams to manage operational, contractual, and technical requirements that come with enterprise integrations.
  • Ensure Program Success: Partner with internal stakeholders to ensure smooth onboarding, campaign setup, and launch, with a long-term focus on retention and performance.
  • Maximize Pricing Efficiency: Help improve monetization by providing more competitive buyer coverage, creating stronger bidding environments across states, dayparts, and channels.
  • Maintain Strategic Relationships: Participate in QBRs and growth planning where appropriate, while staying primarily focused on hunting new business and expanding enterprise spend.
  • Monitor Market Dynamics: Stay on top of industry shifts in performance-based P&C marketing and ensure our offering remains differentiated and aligned to buyers' needs.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
