About Bland AI

At Bland, we're building the most human AI phone agents in the world.

We're a Series C startup backed by Emergence Capital, Y Combinator, and the founders of PayPal and Twilio, and we've raised $100M to reimagine the future of customer communication. Today, we're a 90-person team powering voice automation for companies like Better.com, helping them deliver friendly, helpful, human-like conversations at massive scale.

Now we're hiring an Enterprise Sales Leader. This is a front-line leadership role: the team is in place and ready to roll, and you'll lead them day to day while getting into the biggest deals alongside them. You've been a key stakeholder in the process of buildingt and running a sales org before, and you'll bring that experience here. As we grow, you'll get to put your fingerprints all over Bland's go-to-market function, shaping how we sell, who we hire, and how we scale.

What you'll do
  • Lead the team: Coach a team of experienced enterprise sellers every day through deal reviews, pipeline management, call coaching, and forecasting. Set a high bar and hold it.

  • Get in the deals: Work 6- and 7-figure deal cycles side by side with your reps, from first conversation to close. Sharpen strategy, lead exec conversations, and help get deals over the line.

  • Multi-thread to the C-suite: Build lasting executive relationships across customer orgs and earn credibility quickly with new stakeholders.

  • Call your number: Spot deal risk early, build detailed stakeholder maps, and run an accurate forecast.

  • Make the hard calls: Own decisions on pricing, escalation timing, exec alignment, and deal strategy. Bring a point of view, not just a problem.

  • Bring in the founders: Know when getting Bland's co-founders involved will move a deal, and use them well.

  • Build the GTM function: Work with Marketing, RevOps, and Product to shape our sales process, playbooks, team structure, and hiring as we scale.

  • Sell AI-native: Use AI tools across the whole sales cycle, including research, outreach, call summaries, forecasting, and deal execution. Cut low-value work, put that time back into customers, and get your team doing the same.

What you'll bring
  • 8 - 10 years of enterprise sales experience, including front-line leadership of enterprise AE teams.

  • Experience building and scaling a sales org, including process, hiring, and team structure.

  • A track record of leading a team against a $12M+ annual quota and closing complex 6- and 7-figure ACV deals.

  • Coaching that makes good reps great. You've built playbooks, not just run them.

  • Proven ability to multi-thread and build trusted C-suite relationships.

  • Comfort building the plane while flying it. You do well in a fast-moving, hard-working startup.

  • Sharp verbal and written communication, and an analytical, data-driven approach.

Even better...
  • Familiarity with the AI landscape, key players, and emerging trends.

  • Experience selling technical, developer-first, or API-based products.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
