Position Overview:

Ribbon Communications is looking for an experienced and results-driven Enterprise Sales Account Manager to focus on expanding our presence within the Financial Services vertical. This role targets Fortune 5000 companies, where you will manage large accounts, engage in complex sales opportunities, and deliver consultative, solution-based selling. The ideal candidate will bring a proven track record of driving sales growth, collaborating with diverse teams, and formulating strategies to meet the needs of enterprise customers.

You will be part of a dedicated team, including Inside Sales, Sales Engineers, and Sales Specialists, to support and drive sales initiatives and deliver optimal client outcomes. This position requires strong expertise in managing strategic, high-value accounts and executing detailed sales strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead sales efforts for Ribbon’s products and solutions within the Financial Services sector in a defined region.

  • Identify, qualify, and close complex sales opportunities through strategic account planning, consultative selling, and collaboration with internal teams.

  • Work closely with Marketing, Sales Engineering, Inside Sales, and Partner Management to align customer needs with product offerings and ensure product roadmaps meet market demands.

  • Drive partner-led demand generation campaigns and sales activities to maintain a steady lead flow.

  • Engage with senior-level decision-makers, including CxOs, VPs, IT managers, and other key stakeholders to position Ribbon’s solutions.

  • Maintain an accurate sales pipeline and provide timely updates to Sales Management and Sales Operations using Salesforce.

  • Travel up to 50% to meet with clients and partners to drive growth in assigned regions.

Required Experience and Skills:

  • 10+ years of experience in data communication sales, with a focus on the Financial Services sector, particularly within the Fortune 5000 space.

  • Expertise in consultative and solution-based selling, along with strong presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills.

  • Proven success in selling complex IT solutions, demonstrating the ability to address client challenges and deliver measurable value.

  • Experience in building relationships across all levels of an organization, both internally and externally.

  • A consistent track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets, with a strong hunter mentality and a results-oriented mindset.

  • Strong negotiation and closing skills, with the ability to resolve issues and create win-win outcomes.

  • Familiarity with Salesforce and a solid understanding of customer relationship management processes.

  • In-depth knowledge of SBCs, Gateways, Unified Communications, Analytics, Security, IP, and Optical solutions.

  • A Bachelor’s degree is preferred.

  • U.S. Citizenship is required.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Base Salary: $125,000 – $135,000 per year

  • Variable Pay: Eligible to participate in Ribbon's Sales Compensation program
