Position Summary:
The Enterprise Product Owner will lead the strategic transformation and implementation of Workday ERP across Colibri’s finance ecosystem. You will ensure successful project execution by owning the scope, partnering closely with system integrators (SI), and driving product-led execution. With a curiosity-driven mindset, you will gain deep insights into financial processes, bridging functional and technical domains to simplify and optimize Colibri’s enterprise systems. Your role will evolve into broader enterprise transformations, including HR and payroll.
Key Responsibilities
- Product Ownership: Lead end-to-end ownership of the Workday ERP transformation, including strategic planning, scope definition, and implementation oversight.
- Scope and Delivery Management: Govern and manage project scope proactively to avoid creep; ensure accountability and transparency with SI partners regarding deliverables, timelines, and quality.
- Functional and Technical Expertise: Quickly learn and deeply understand Workday’s technical ecosystem, financial processes, and integration methodologies; provide informed decisions and direction on process simplification and solution design.
- Stakeholder Liaison: Act as a key liaison between accounting, finance, and technology teams, ensuring alignment between business requirements and technical execution.
- Project Leadership and Governance: Guide and oversee implementation activities, managing milestones, risks, and dependencies effectively to ensure timely, within-budget delivery.
- Documentation and Accountability: Maintain comprehensive documentation of functional scope, changes, and rationale; manage acceptance of delivered functionalities against documented scope and business expectations.
- Future-Proofing and Scalability: Ensure solutions are foundational yet adaptable for future transformation phases (e.g., HR, payroll), maintaining an enterprise-wide perspective.
- Executive Engagement: Collaborate with executive sponsors and business stakeholders to build alignment, excitement, and ownership over the transformation initiative.
- Implementation Standards: Adhere to Professional Services (PS) implementation standards and methodologies, ensuring best practices and consistent approaches.
- Solution Validation: Validate, gather, and assess complex solutions to make thoughtful recommendations to SI partners.
- Configuration and Integration: Gain proficiency in the configuration and integration of solutions to ensure effective deployment.
- Process Documentation: Initiate, suggest, document, and assist in creating repeatable business processes and artifacts to scale the organization.
Major Responsibilities/Activities:
- Solution Deployment (85%)
- Document transformation scope, requirements, and solution/process design for different financial modules.
- Collaborate closely with Program Managers to successfully deliver projects.
- Participate actively in the transformation lifecycle, from requirements gathering and functional mapping to design, delivery, and testing.
- Engage with functional stakeholders to capture requirements and manage SI implementation scope.
- Lead product delivery aspects within the transformation scope.
- Align business functionality with technical architecture.
- Lead solution design discussions and manage integration points between CLM and other platforms (e.g., Salesforce).
- Validate/gather functional and technical requirements, and produce solution designs.
- Create and obtain customer sign-off on core project documentation, including requirements, user stories, solution designs, and architecture.
- Execute technical implementation activities, test plan validation, data migration, UAT, SIT testing, and Hypercare support.
- Identify and proactively manage engagement-related risks.
- Provide training and reusable project artifacts to promote scalability.
- Administration (5%)
- Maintain internal communications with the project team, team lead, and management.
- Provide feedback and updates to internal processes through documentation.
- Training (10%)
- Continuously update knowledge through internal and industry-standard training/certifications.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, Legal (JD), or related field; advanced degree preferred.
- 7+ years of external consulting experience in business process analysis, solution design, configuration, and SaaS project delivery.
- 4+ years of experience with Workday solutions, architecture, API, data, and process flows.
- Practitioner-level experience in legal operations, contract management, and commercial contract administration.
- Strong capability in translating business requirements into technical specifications and implementing solutions.
- Exceptional people and time management skills, highly organized, motivated, and driven.
- Proven ability to lead fast-paced and complex projects.
- Excellent communication, escalation management, and presentation skills.
- Strong ownership and accountability for assigned tasks, effective time management, and flexibility.
