We’re looking for an Enterprise IT Engineer to design, build, and maintain the automation, infrastructure, and monitoring systems that keep our engineering and manufacturing environments running at peak performance. In this role, you’ll develop enterprise-grade CI/CD pipelines, manage cloud and HPC resources, and implement advanced observability and licensing solutions across Windows and Linux platforms. The ideal candidate is a hands-on engineer with a strong scripting background, deep familiarity with modern DevOps tools, and a drive to build scalable, reliable systems that empower innovation company-wide.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines and enterprise-grade automation to support engineering, manufacturing, and test environments.
  • Build and manage cloud infrastructure and HPC environments (AWS, Corvid, etc.) that enable R&D, analytics, and engineering workloads.
  • Develop enterprise-wide monitoring, logging, and alerting systems to provide proactive visibility across production systems.
  • Evaluate and implement AI technologies and tools to improve operations, automation, and system reliability.
  • Partner with engineering teams to ensure IT infrastructure effectively supports simulation, build, and test workflows.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in software engineering or enterprise systems engineering.
  • Proficiency with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, GitLab, or Jenkins, and related automation frameworks.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS or equivalent cloud platforms.
  • Experience with containers and orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Working experience with infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible).
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python and PowerShell.
  • Familiarity with system monitoring tools and frameworks, including Telegraf, InfluxDB, and Grafana.
  • Experience provisioning and maintaining licensing servers across both Windows and Linux environments.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • Experience supporting simulation, test, or data-intensive workloads in HPC or hybrid environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to integrate AI/ML or intelligent automation into IT workflows.
  • Strong understanding of networking fundamentals (DNS, VPN, VLAN, routing, etc.).
  • Proven problem-solving skills and ability to thrive in fast-paced, high-iteration environments.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills across IT, engineering, and operations teams.
  • Experience working in regulated environments (e.g., GCC High, GovCloud, CUI, ITAR, etc.).

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
