Key Responsibilities: 

Discovery & Assessment: 

Lead the discovery process, understanding client’s existing IT landscape, applications, data architecture, and infrastructure. 

Perform detailed technical assessments and analyze workloads to identify the best migration paths to GCP – Google Cloud Platform. 

Conduct cloud readiness assessments to determine the feasibility and impact of GCP adoption. 

Define key metrics for success, such as performance improvements, cost savings, or operational efficiencies. 

Cloud Architecture Design: 

Design and recommend scalable, secure, and high-performance architectures for GCP that align with the client’s business objectives. 

Provide best practices for cloud adoption, including the use of services like Compute Engine, Kubernetes Engine, BigQuery, Cloud Functions, and others. 

Create detailed architecture documentation, including network diagrams, data flows, and systems integrations. 

Stakeholder Collaboration: 

Collaborate with C-level executives, IT leadership, and various stakeholders to ensure business goals are aligned with the technical strategy. 

Provide technical thought leadership and serve as a trusted advisor to clients in the GCP space. 

Lead workshops, discussions, and whiteboarding sessions to share technical knowledge with the client’s teams. 

Migration Strategy & Roadmap: 

Develop cloud migration strategies, including workload prioritization, re-platforming, refactoring, or lift-and-shift methodologies. 

Provide guidance on cost optimization strategies, such as the rightsizing of resources and choosing appropriate cloud services. 

Ensure business continuity and disaster recovery strategies are included in the migration roadmap. 

Security & Compliance: 

Define cloud security strategies, ensuring that application / platform complies with industry standards and the client’s internal security policies. 

Provide guidance on IAM (Identity and Access Management), network security, encryption, and data protection practices on GCP. 

Tooling & Automation: 

Recommend and implement DevOps best practices, such as CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using cloud-native tools or third-party platforms. 

Support the automation of infrastructure deployment and management to improve agility and reduce manual interventions. 

Required Qualifications & Skills: 

Experience: 

10+ years of experience in IT, with at least 5+ years in cloud architecture and strategy roles. 

Proven experience in leading discovery, design, and implementation engagements for large enterprises focusing GCP as their preferred cloud solution. 

Strong understanding of cloud architecture frameworks and best practices. 

Technical Skills: 

Deep expertise in Google Cloud Platform services, including Compute Engine, Kubernetes Engine, BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Cloud Pub/Sub, Cloud IAM, and others. 

Experience on Databases such as MySQL, Postgres etc.  

Experience with hybrid and multi-cloud architecture patterns. 

Strong knowledge of networking, security, databases, and application architecture on GCP. 

Experience in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, Cloud Deployment Manager, or equivalent. 

Good Knowledge and expertise on Database like Mysql, Postgres and DB2
