About Vantage:

Vantage is the financial control plane for infrastructure cost management. The infrastructure stack is rapidly changing as companies leverage cloud, SaaS and increasing AI vendors to run their companies. As a result there’s a need for these companies to better allocate, govern and forecast costs using a platform like Vantage.

Our platform is used first and foremost by developers who have been empowered to be held responsible for infrastructure efficiency but done in partnership with finance and FinOps teams. We provide engineering, finance, and FinOps teams with the tools they need to make informed decisions about their cloud infrastructure and ultimately their business.

We're a fast-growing, remote-first company building products for some of the most innovative technology companies in the world.

About the Role:

We are seeking a proactive, highly driven Enterprise Account Executive with a passion for early-stage startup growth. In this role, you manage inbound interest and take complete ownership of your territory as a true builder and self-sourcer. If you excel at identifying high-value target accounts, prospecting into VP and C-Suite leaders, and systematically generating your own pipeline from scratch, you will thrive here.

The primary goal for Enterprise Account Executives at Vantage is to authentically understand customer needs, translate that into a structured sales process and assist the customer through the buying journey throughout the sales cycle.

AEs will operate in a target-rich environment with large territories and autonomy to close new business and reap the financial rewards uniquely available at this early stage.

What You Will Do:

  • Systematically research, identify, and prospect key decision-makers across target accounts using creative outbound strategies, cold outreach, and multi-channel sequencing to maintain a high-volume, healthy sales pipeline.

  • Contribute to and be responsible for revenue growth and achieving quarterly booking goals through closing net new logos.

  • Build relationships with VP & C-Suite prospects in order to methodically qualify, build, and manage an accurate sales funnel and pipeline

  • Handle existing customer expectations while expanding reach and depth into assigned territory

  • Develop a deep comprehension of customer's business

  • Negotiate favorable pricing and business terms with large enterprises by selling value and ROI

  • Have intuitive sense of necessary steps to close business and gain customer validation

  • Identify robust set of business drivers behind all opportunities

  • Use a solution-based approach to selling and creating value for customers

  • Have genuine and authentic command of what can be a complex sales process

Who You Are:

  • Thrives in fast-paced, high-growth environments with a proven track record of selling to technical buying committees and consistently exceeding $1M+ annual quotas

  • 5+ years closing experience (mix of field selling within mid-market and enterprise) with an emphasis on developer tools, cloud infrastructure, databases, and/or business intelligence

  • Able to demonstrate methodology to prospect and build pipeline on your own

  • Experienced in working for an innovative tech company (SaaS, IT infrastructure or similar preferred)

  • Experienced selling into large Fortune 1000 companies with the ability to win new logos

  • Familiarity with cloud technologies

  • A bias for action – have a mentality of getting things done vs letting things happen.

  • A kind person

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
