The Opportunity
UHP is seeking an Enrollment Coordinator (School Certifying Official) to guide students from acceptance through arrival while ensuring excellence in VA education benefits administration and compliance.
This role serves as the primary point of contact for veterans and service members navigating GI Bill®, VR&E, scholarship, and enrollment processes. The Enrollment Coordinator helps remove barriers, reduce uncertainty, and create a seamless student experience while maintaining strict compliance with VA regulations.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, service-minded, and passionate about supporting veterans as they transition into their next chapter.
Key Responsibilities
Student Enrollment & SupportServe as the primary enrollment contact for accepted students through program arrival.
Guide students through required enrollment, funding, travel, and onboarding steps.
Conduct one-on-one calls to answer questions, provide guidance, and ensure readiness for arrival.
Maintain proactive communication throughout the enrollment process.
Identify and resolve issues that could delay enrollment or attendance.
Serve as UHP's School Certifying Official (SCO) for GI Bill® eligible students.
Process enrollment certifications, amendments, adjustments, and required documentation through VA systems.
Verify eligibility and maintain accurate student records.
Support students utilizing GI Bill®, VR&E, scholarships, and other funding pathways.
Coordinate with VA representatives, VR&E counselors, and other external stakeholders as needed.
Maintain audit-ready compliance documentation and records.
Manage student progression through enrollment milestones and funding stages.
Ensure accurate CRM documentation, notes, and student records.
Partner closely with Admissions Advisors to maintain enrollment momentum.
Monitor enrollment status and proactively address risks to student arrival.
Coordinate with Admissions, Operations, Coaching, and Student Experience teams to ensure a successful student arrival experience.
Communicate student needs, travel information, accommodations, and special considerations.
Ensure all required documentation, waivers, and pre-arrival requirements are completed.
Maintain accurate enrollment records and compliance documentation.
Ensure all certifications and student files meet regulatory requirements.
Stay current on VA education benefits policies and procedural changes.
Support audits, reporting, and internal compliance initiatives.
2+ years of experience in admissions, enrollment, veteran services, higher education administration, compliance, or related fields.
Familiarity with military culture and veteran transition challenges.
Strong administrative and documentation skills with exceptional attention to detail.
Experience managing multiple priorities and deadlines simultaneously.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Proficiency with CRM systems and Microsoft Office or Google Workspace.
Experience serving as a School Certifying Official (SCO).
Experience working with GI Bill®, VR&E, or military education benefits.
Military service, military spouse experience, or prior work supporting veterans.
Experience with HubSpot or similar CRM platforms.
Experience in higher education, workforce development, or student services.
Schedule: Typically Monday–Friday; flexibility is required based on student needs, enrollment deadlines, and operational requirements.
Work Environment: Remote position with periodic travel to UHP campuses and events. Semi-annual onsite visits are preferred. Candidates located near Bentonville, Arkansas are encouraged to apply.
