Enrichment Coordinator: Help Students Find Their Passions in After School

What your day might look like working with us:
The full-time Enrichment Coordinator oversees an average of 15-30 schools throughout the region. The enrichment coordinator plays a pivotal role across all levels of the enrichment department, managing many instructors and maintaining efficient communication. This position is perfect for an individual passionate about working with youth, brimming with creative program ideas, and adept at training and coaching staff. We're seeking someone who is highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable collaborating with a diverse group of stakeholders. These are some specific responsibilities of this role:

Demonstrate the ability to provide clear, consistent, and effective support to enrichment instructors, fostering their growth and success.

Conduct regular and consistent site visits to assess and enhance the success of instructors and programs, ensuring they meet quality standards and objectives.

Coach and train enrichment instructors proactively and continuously, offering tailored guidance to maximize their potential and program impact.

Utilize a creative toolkit for designing and planning engaging class and camp programs that captivate and inspire participants.

Champion the overall success of all enrichment programs at both existing and new partner sites, driving excellence and innovation.

Maintain open, transparent, and consistent communication with the enrichment director, instructors, and all staff to ensure alignment and collaboration.

Implement and oversee a variety of enrichment programs, including after-school, school-day, and intersession camps, ensuring their smooth operation and success.

Design and execute continuous improvement strategies aimed at enhancing program quality and financial efficiency, driving measurable results.

Develop and maintain a robust communication pipeline between the organization and enrichment instructors, facilitating seamless information flow and collaboration.

Thoroughly plan and execute program launches, ensuring all aspects, including training and support, are meticulously organized for success.

Ensure that activities in enrichment programs are diverse and fit the needs of the campus community as well as being conscious of student abilities and age appropriateness

Provide a physically and emotionally safe and supportive environment for education, cooperation, and fun

Ensure enrichment instructors utilize hands-on activities to foster individual growth

Must have reliable transportation to perform site visits at different locations

Perform related duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:

One year of teaching (K-12) and/or program management experience (youth enrichment or academic programming a plus).

Experience working in after-school programs or youth recreational facilities with youth of all ages is a plus.

Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, and weekends as needed for program success

Computer savvy and proficiency with Microsoft Office 365, Google Docs, and multiple operating systems

Ability to work collaboratively with all levels of staff

Strong, clear written and verbal communication skills

Proven ability to solve problems, make decisions, and resolve conflicts

Commitment to working toward the common goal of helping to provide experiential education to underserved young people at our various programs

TB Test Clearance & Live Scan Clearance (background check)

Must be fully vaccinated against Covid 19 and provide vaccine record

Bilingual English-Spanish preferred

The employee is required to stand, walk, stoop, or kneel, use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms for the duration of their shift; occasionally they may be required to sit. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
The person selected for this position reports to the Enrichment Manager and works out of the Torrance office. The person selected for this position must be available and flexible to travel throughout the areas where arc does business to conduct program site visits, evaluations or meet with stakeholders. The Enrichment Coordinator is a full-time, benefit eligible, position.
