WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Engineering Manager

We are looking for an experienced Engineering Manager who knows how to build great teams and deliver awesome software. You will lead a highly engaged team in a supportive environment and help people produce high quality software.

In this role, you’ll be working with stakeholders for our Vetsource international business and extending our world-class home delivery service and platform outside the United States, building upon our technology's momentum. This multi-faceted role requires a dynamic leader who can navigate Vetsource's unique engineering needs, working across multiple systems and optimizing them for the international market.

This is a full-time remote position.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Works closely with cross-functional teams, including product design, product management, and quality on the team’s vision, strategy, and metrics for success.

  • Manages and executes against project plans and delivery commitments within an Agile/Lean/Scrum environment.

  • Develops leaders who can work independently to achieve results.

  • Accountable for divisional KPIs and other service metrics.

  • Recruits, hires, trains, mentors, coaches, and motivates Engineers at different levels of experience.

  • Provide staff with feedback regarding performance metrics to include corrective action if necessary.

  • Ensure the team is making good technical decisions that build towards a sustainable future.

  • Manage the activities of the team including nurturing their professional development and growth, providing guidance on technical matters, and promoting teamwork and cooperation.

  • Own the functionality, usability, reliability, performance, and supportability of the team’s products and services.

WHAT YOU BRING

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field.

  • 5+ years of experience in software engineering or software development.

  • 1-2 years of experience in a leadership or management role.

  • Proven ability to lead teams toward organizational goals with successful outcomes.

  • Proven ability to follow through with multiple projects and meet commitments.

  • Solid technical acumen, including the ability to understand the customer or partner technology landscape, identify opportunities, and overcome any technical obstacles.

  • Ability to interact and work with all levels within the organization.

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Reliable internet access is required.

  • Sitting/standing at a desk working on a computer for long periods of time.

Pay range (US based applicants): $139,806 - $160,000 (annualized)

Actual compensation packages are based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to job-related skills, experience, certifications, relevant education and training, while also considering internal equity.
