Engineering Manager, Web Marketing

The Web Marketing team owns Airtable’s logged-out surfaces, including the homepage, product pages, and campaign experiences that serve as the first touchpoint for millions of visitors. Airtable.com is our online billboard and the central place where the world meets our brand, learns what we stand for, and discovers how Airtable can power their work. As Engineering Manager, you’ll lead the technical direction and execution for Airtable.com, making sure it’s fast, reliable, accessible, and able to keep up with changing business needs. Partnering closely with Marketing, Design, and Product, you’ll help build the web experiences that showcase our brand and drive awareness and sign-ups.

Please note: while we employ a hybrid working model at Airtable (flexible in working from the office or elsewhere), we are looking to hire candidates at this level that are based in San Francisco and open to coming into the office at least ~2-3 times/week for team collaboration.

• Lead, manage, and grow a team of engineers, located both in the US and offshore, responsible for Airtable’s logged-out web experience.
• Partner with engineering leaders to drive technical decisions and initiatives to build products in a high-quality and sustainable way. 
• Nurture a team of passionate and capable engineers. Partner with senior engineers to multiply their impact, and coach & grow early-career engineers.
• Partner with cross-functional peers including product, design, and marketing to come up with and execute against short and long term strategy and plans for the team.
• Implement processes to help the team scale and be productive, while allowing for agility to accommodate the dynamic environment that we operate in.

• 5+ years experience as an engineer (previously in a staff or TL level IC position) and 2+ years as a manager, or a similar combination. 
• Strong foundation in modern front-end development (TypeScript, React, Next.Js).
• Experience with CMS-driven environments, SEO, and marketing technology stacks.
• Strong customer focus and experience working closely with Product and Marketing partners to define goals, manage trade-offs, and deliver impact.
• You have strong attention to detail and care about great design, creating high-quality web experiences.
• Experience leading high performing engineering teams in a fast paced environment
• Experience in growing and mentoring engineers.
• Experience in managing, organizing, and prioritizing multiple projects and work streams.
