Lead the Platform & SRE team to design and operate a unified deployment platform spanning cloud and on-premise. Architect Pulumi/Kubernetes-based deployments, package software for industrial hardware, build GitHub Actions CI/CD (including HIL), and define observability with Prometheus, Grafana, and OIDC.
At Kerrigan Robotics, we aren’t just adding more "iron" to the factory floor; we’re building the intelligence that brings it all to life. As an AI-powered, robot-agnostic orchestration platform, we bridge the gap between high-level software and complex physical hardware, harmonizing everything from humanoids and drones to legacy ERP and WMS systems. Our team’s pedigree is rooted in scaling the impossible, having first proven our mettle at Tesla by scaling $5B worth of equipment and thousands of robots globally before achieving seamless multi-branded integration for Rivian’s fleet and lineside controls. While the rest of the industry focuses on building individual robots, we are operationalizing heterogeneous automation at scale slashing production ramp-up times by 70% and making enterprise level expansion feel effortless. If you’re ready to turn fragmented data into harmonious communication and help make the future of manufacturing simpler, more reliable, and truly unified, your next challenge starts here.
The Role
As the Engineering Lead for Platform, you own the “how” of our delivery. You bridge the gap
between code and runtime, ensuring our systems are deployable anywhere—from an
ephemeral cloud cluster for a sales demo to a ruggedized Industrial PC (IPC) on a factory floor.
You will build the foundation that enables both internal developers and external customers to
move fast and with confidence.
Key Responsibilities
● Hybrid Infrastructure: Architect a unified deployment model using Pulumi and
Kubernetes that spans AWS/GCP/Azure and on-premise bare metal.
● Turnkey Hardware: Lead the effort to package our software into hardware solutions
(Industrial PCs and rack-based deployments).
● CI/CD Leadership: Build next-gen pipelines in GitHub Actions that handle complex
builds, including future Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) testing.
● Reliability: Define the observability and operation standards (Prometheus, Grafana, OIDC)
for our "Application Cells."
Requirements
● Experience: 5+ years in SRE/DevOps
● K8s Mastery: Deep knowledge of K8s internals, CNIs, and multi-cluster management.
● Automation: Expert in Pulumi or Terraform, and Helm.
● Systems Thinking: Proficiency in Go and a strong grasp of Linux networking and
certificate management.
● Edge Knowledge: Experience with "Edge" or on-premise software delivery is a massive
plus.
The base pay range for this role is $175,000 – $215,000 per year.
