Luxury Presence is a VC-funded Stanford StartX-accelerated startup, building a premium platform to provide real estate agents with stunning websites, world-class marketing tools and services, and access to an exclusive network. We’re looking for a Vice President of Engineering to join our quickly growing engineering team. This is a fantastic opportunity if you are a high-impact contributor looking to join a company in the midst of rapid scale. 2021 will be a year of hyper-growth for the Engineering and Product teams at Luxury Presence and we hope you’ll consider playing a critical role in the journey.

You have:

-8+ years of experience leading engineering teams, including 5+ years leading a team of engineering leaders

-Experience growing a multi-team engineering organization from 25 to 50+

-Hands-on experience and a tenured leadership foundation in planning & process, product and financial planning, organizational change, communications & strategy execution

-Extensive experience unifying and developing high-performance engineering teams in a rapid transformation environment

-Experience in instituting standards, procedures and methodologies, always looking for areas of improvement and better ways to do things 

-Knowledge in the use of structured project methodologies

-Experience and comfort with dotted-line reporting structures/influencing roles

-Proven ability to deliver products that support a large scale of users, including familiarity with microservices and queues

-Deep experience and expertise with multiple cloud architectures and their corresponding application ecosystems

-Familiarity with AWS solution architecture body of knowledge, with demonstrable experience applying key concepts to enterprise-grade applications

-Broad experience across containers/Kubernetes, virtualization, infrastructure, modern application architecture

-Strong understanding of LEAN principles, Theory of Constraints, and Systems Thinking as it applies to Software Engineering


Your opportunities for impact:

-Make and shape the engineering and technology teams: hire top-tier talent and then nurture an inspired, positive culture to make Luxury Presence an unstoppable force

-Guide, nurture and develop an organization of talented and engaged engineers who will lead Luxury Presence into its next phase of growth

-Champion technical best practices in partnership with your engineering leaders across Frontend, Backend, SRE, security, privacy, data engineering, QA, and IT Ops

-Establish and maintain metrics, goals, and quality standards for the Engineering department

-Develop and apply consistent, standardized, agile development processes that can scale

-Evolve software development strategy with a focus on SaaS development, automation, and continuous delivery

-Manage Engineering ORKs— Be responsible for collaborating with Sales, CS, Marketing, and Finance to align on annual OKRs and shorter-term execution plans

-Drive ongoing monthly product and technology reviews in conjunction with the Product leaders and stakeholders to drive strategic discussions

-Help set a technology strategy and chart a course for how best to execute that strategy 

-Our products are the backbone upon which our customers build their identities, brands and services; you’ll help make sure we continue to delight them in all the ways our competitor's products don’t or can’t

-Drive a high-performance culture through manager enablement and accountability

-Play a critical role in shaping the product & technical vision for the team while working closely with Product, Business, and Engineering leadership across the company regularly

-Work with direct reports, peers, and upper management to drive continuous improvement and higher standards at all company levels

-Motivate and guide others to take actions that support the product vision (continually ensuring the focus remains on the client and business objectives)

-Be a thought-leader for ‘what is possible’ and ‘how can we achieve our goals’
