VP of Engineering
Luxury Presence is a VC-funded Stanford StartX-accelerated startup, building a premium platform to provide real estate agents with stunning websites, world-class marketing tools and services, and access to an exclusive network. Our product has seen tremendous growth over the past year, and our customers are often found on the Wall Street Journal and Forbes top 100 real estate lists.
The person in this role will lead our Engineering Department (currently 6 in Los Angeles, 10 remote). Both the team and product are growing quickly, presenting an increase in new challenges and opportunities. Luxury Presence has multiple web applications, ETL jobs, and backend services facilitating static website rendering, mls search tools, interactive frontend features and more. This is a newly created role that will spearhead the development of solutions to help scale our technology.
We want someone who has worked on the ground floor and can share multiple “2am emergency stories.” The engineering team is continually releasing new features and seeks a technology leader who can challenge them to grow. With a team centered on learning, the ideal candidate speaks from experience and carries strong opinions on software development.
What you’ll do:
Conduct 1:1s and personal development reviews with the team on a regular basis
Architect the technology vision of the platform with the Director of Engineering
Work closely with Product Development to set the roadmap and groom the backlog
Lead hiring, process development and facilitate effective cross-team communication
Actively participate in projects with the team to provide technical insight, reduce bugs, and increase development pace and productivity
What we’re looking for:
Engineering leader who has built software at startups/companies at various phases
Record of product releases to production
Led teams from sizes 10 to 50
Fluent in all aspects of web development and related architecture
Experience with AWS (EKS, RDS, SQS, ES)
Desire to disrupt the real estate industry through technology
