WHY WE NEED YOU

Verification is an integral part of product development and system certification.  To build the next evolution in high-speed travel with hyperloops, we need a strong team that gets the job done effectively and in collaboration with others! We are looking for engineers to drive the scope of major test events by connecting key performance requirements with development milestones.  Here at Virgin Hyperloop, we are a fun and diverse group of people that want to change the world for the better.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Lead the development of detailed verification plans by collaborating with engineers from various design teams, Systems, RAMS, Test, and Quality Assurance.
• Prepare documentation of both verification plans and verification evidence for review at major program milestones
• Lead reviews of verification evidence by key stakeholders, such as safety engineering and program leadership
• Assist with impact assessments for Engineering Change Requests as it relates to planned or completed verification activities
• Maintain awareness of current program priorities, ensuring verification priorities are aligned and avoiding scope creep
• Maintain awareness of the entire product development roadmap to prepare future verification plans for certification of the Virgin Hyperloop system
• Be able to traverse across rocky terrain occasionally
• Travel to other Virgin Hyperloop sites occasionally (up to 25%)

WHAT YOU'VE DONE

• Bachelor’s degree in any engineering field (preferably electrical engineering or related field)
• Prior experience writing or reviewing test plans and working with testing equipment (at least ~2 years)
• Prior experience working with and/or writing project requirements (at least ~2 years)
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts versus assumptions, and draw conclusions
• Ability to think creatively and adapt to changes
• Excellent organization skills, including the ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, handle multiple tasks simultaneously, and work in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills
• Basic to intermediate experience with MS Office

NICE TO HAVE

• Strong understanding of non-testing methods of verification, to include similarity and analysis
• Strong understanding of different types of testing (black box, white box, regression testing, limits testing)
• Experience with project management or integration of complex systems
• Strong software or electrical engineering background
• Experience working with any transportation regulatory agency
• Experience working within limits established in published engineering standards
• Experience with requirements management software such as JAMA, IBM Doors, or Team Center
• Experience with Atlassian Jira
