As a Staff Engineer - Platform you will be responsible for establishing and leading our growing software engineering team from an education and mentorship perspective.  You will report directly to the executive suite, working closely with product and engineering leadership to develop the software we build to revolutionize how companies keep their people safe.

TECH STACK:

• Languages: TypeScript, Kotlin, and Rust
• Deployments: Kubernetes (AWS EKS), Terraform, and Helm
• Infrastructure: Postgres, S3, AWS Kinesis
• Communication: GraphQL & REST API, Wireguard, MQTT

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

• Function as the technical subject matter expert; mentoring engineers and leading infrastructure and DevOps initiatives
• Delivery application integrity and operational excellence through automation and CI/CD pipelines
• Data modeling, database tuning, and creation of workflows and pipelines for ETL
• QUALIFICATIONS:
• Strong coding abilities, architecture, debugging, and performance/diagnostics measurement skills
• Working knowledge of AWS architecture and services
• Proficient in Terraform (Terragrunt as a bonus)
• Experience with distributed, scalable micro-service-based architectures

ADDITIONAL INFO:

• Salary range for this position: $165,000 to $180,000 per year
• Eligible to participate in HiveWatch Equity Incentive Plan
