ABOUT THE ROLE:
The Media Technology & Infrastructure team within NBCU's Operations & Technology (O&T) Organization, has an opening for an Senior Engineer, specializing in Microsoft Active Directory Authentication services and Infoblox DDI. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and improving a greenfield Active Directory Domain for Broadcast Business units. This will include, but is not limited to, advanced reporting for security audits, implementing a hybrid cloud identity strategy, troubleshooting operational problems and providing root cause analysis, and onboarding new applications to the AD Domain.

• Maintain Broadcast Active Directory Domain and related infrastructure
  • Respond to alerts to prevent or mitigate production impact
  • Onboard new systems and business units to the domain
  • Assist with domain capacity expansion
  • Develop and implement Group Policies
  • Implement Active Directory security best practices
  • Implement a hybrid, multi-cloud identity strategy
• Handle security audits to ensure work is aligned with cyber security initiatives to best protect our infrastructure and content from an ever-expanding threat landscape
• Create and maintain conceptual diagrams of systems using Microsoft Visio
• Support our DNS and DHCP infrastructure in Microsoft and Infoblox
• Management of SSL/TLS Certificates as it pertains to authentication systems and secured web applications
• Participate in on-call support rotations
• Provide mentorship to team members
• Troubleshoot and help resolve complex problems related to AD and DNS.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Demonstrated ability to think critically about problems, decipher user preferences versus hard requirements, and effectively use online and onsite resources to find an appropriate solution with little intervention.
• Self-motivated independent worker with a positive and professional attitude
• Able to communicate effectively in a diverse team of varying skillsets and proficiencies, including the ability to relate complex information and business process needs to both technical and non-technical audiences

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• B.S. degree in an Engineering discipline, Computer Science, Cyber/Information Security, or equivalent practical experience
• 4+ years experience in supporting Infrastructure Systems
• Experience with and ability to write scripts (PowerShell, Bash, Python, etc.)
• Understanding of virtualization systems (Cisco UCS, VMWare)
• Familiarity with monitoring/logging tools (Splunk, OP5, Nagios, Datadog, etc.)
• First-hand experience with Infoblox GRID and DDI Management
• Experience with AD security products such as StealthIntercept and StealthAudit
• Experience with AD Bridging products from BeyondTrust and Centrify to support Unix, Linux, and macOS integrations with Microsoft Active Directory
• Experience with networking is a plus
• Experience with automation and infrastructure as code tools (Ansible, Git, Terraform, etc.) is a plus
