Software Engineer
Luxury Presence is a VC-funded Stanford StartX-accelerated startup, building a premium platform to provide real estate agents with stunning websites, world-class marketing tools and services, and access to an exclusive network. Our product has seen tremendous growth over the past year, and our customers are often found on the Wall Street Journal and Forbes top 100 real estate lists. It's a wildly exciting time as we are still on the ground floor and are now focusing on ramping up our team by hiring some key players, starting with you!
We are looking for a Software Engineer who is motivated to build front-end and back-end services for our custom CMS and third-party integrations. Responsibilities will include designing and implementing software solutions and performing code reviews. You will work with the product team and bridge the gap between product requirements and technical implementation, taking an active role on both sides and defining how the application is designed and works.
What you will do:
Develop new user-facing features
Build reusable code and libraries for future use
Ensure the technical feasibility of product designs
Optimize application for maximum speed and scalability
Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders
Extend customizable options for website template offerings
Iterate on our framework for rendering websites and building a common set of libraries
Participate in code review and team events (lunch & learn, brainstorms, etc)
Skills And Qualifications:
3+ years of experience in Software Engineering
Proficient server-side web application and microservice development
Proficient in one or more of the following: Node.js (javascript), Ruby, Java, or C# (We are a primarily a Node.js shop)
Prefer a good understanding of in one or more advanced JavaScript libraries and frameworks, such as AngularJS, KnockoutJS, BackboneJS, ReactJS. ReactJS is preferred
Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git, Mercurial, or SVN
Experience integrating with 3rd party APIs
