Summary
Our team is growing, and we’re looking to add a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) that will bring their passion for mobile and help us improve our testing processes to ensure we are delivering innovative solutions and experiences for users across the globe.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to build out Grindr’s next generation of features on our iOS and Android platforms while maintaining a high level of quality and performance on Grindr’s back-end systems.
You will work closely with the Director of Engineering, product managers and other engineers to help define quality criteria and quality metrics, and create specific use-case scripts to facilitate ad-hoc testing.
Responsibilities
- Write test plans and test cases for assigned features
- Ensure test planning, test framework, execution, and reporting is efficient
- Support with test coverage of multiple mobile based projects, while working with various teams to collect necessary information and provide feedback on quality issues
- Monitor, investigate and identify problems with production components, processes, help development diagnose and test fixes
- Maintain existing testing tools and enhance the automation test coverage
- Build Grindr’s in-house device lab
Requirements
- B.S. in Computer Science
- 3+ years of overall test automation experience
- Experience automating repeated tasks and building test coverage with existing or new infrastructure
- Knowledge of test methodologies, writing test plans, creating test cases and debugging
- Experience in object-oriented programming
- Experience with API testing or integration (REST APIs)
- Experience with Appium
- Comfortable building and maintaining test frameworks from scratch (TestNG)
