System1 is one of the world's largest purchasers of Internet advertising, and we've expanded our reach to include a collection of diverse owned and operated web properties, including several search engines and content and engagement sites. One of our most successful sites, Info.com, is undergoing heavy investment to scale successfully with the growth we've experienced in 2019. As such, we're in need of a motivated, resourceful, and creative React Native engineer to own the build out of our native Android and iOS apps, with a primary focus on an Android web search app to support Info.com.

The Role You Will Have

• Build the next generation Info.com Android Search App using React Native
• Help shape the mobile front end architecture and institute best practices
• Own the mobile front end codebase and expertise
• Work with product managers and designers to develop new features quickly
• Convert Sketch files into functional styled components
• Bring innovative ideas and solve complex technology problems
• Work with internal engineering partners on integrating backend services

What You Will Bring

• At least 1 year of experience building and launching production ready apps in a Reach Native environment
• Deep familiarity with ES6+ syntax
• Familiarity with Redux state management in React
• Excellent knowledge of DOM, HTML5, CSS3 and Javascript
• Experience in Swift, Objective-C, Kotlin, or Java
• Familiarity wit XCode and Android Studio
• Experience designing and developing consumer mobile and web applications
• Successful publishing of multiple apps with multiple versions on the App/Play Store
• Proficiency with Git pull requests and code review processes
• High level ability to mentor and share knowledge, as well as training others on new tools, libraries, solutions, technical approach, and best practices

Skills That Will Set You Apart

• 5+ years programming experience in any language
• 2+ years working with React Native
• Proficiency with Expo
• Release of apps with large user bases to both the Apple and Google Play store
• Experience with mapping and charting libraries in React Native apps
• Experience building progressive web apps
• Computer Science background
• Adept at balancing "doing it right" and "getting it done"
