Position Summary

As a Senior QA Engineer, you will have a major hands on role in the design and execution of test plans required to ensure Happy Returns’ technology works as intended for customers, partners, and end users.

The Senior QA Engineer will:

  • Report directly to the director of engineering.
  • Review requirements and prepare test cases in collaboration with the product and engineering teams.
  • Write automated scripts and perform manual testing as necessary to confirm Happy Returns products operate according to requirements.
  • Respond to reports of system malfunctions from internal and external stakeholders to investigate, confirm, and document bugs so they can be prioritized and fixed by the development team.
  • Document the results of all testing accurately and completely.
  • Regularly compile and report metrics of all QA activity to appropriate managers and team members.

Requirements

We are looking for someone with:

  • A minimum of 3 years of web/mobile QA experience
  • Strong understanding of web and mobile technologies
  • Experience with tools like Selenium, Browserstack, Jenkins...
  • Proficiency in writing and maintaining test plans
  • Strong ability to write effective and comprehensive automated scripts for testing software
  • A strong ability to consider edge use cases that may arise in the everyday usage of a software system and prioritize testing to focus on the most impactful cases
  • The ability to work well with a diverse team of product managers, engineers, operations staff, and others
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage the testing of numerous projects simultaneously
  • Ability to adapt to and learn new technologies rapidly
  • Interest in e-commerce, logistics, and/or the L.A. startup community
