You will support the Capability Integration Division (CID) as the SATCOM/PNT Spectrum Warfare technical & strategic lead responsible for defining the future of integrated warfighting PNT and SATCOM systems and architectural constructs. You will function as technical ambassador to creatively and analytically solve challenging problems.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Support senior Government customer with architecture, integration and test portfolio management by providing insight into the capability gaps, investment opportunities, programs and operational activities across the space enterprise with deep focus on SATCOM and PNT
- Provide time-sensitive responses to direct tasking on technical and programmatic issues relevant to PNT and SATCOM space capabilities
- Identify portfolio gaps and define processes for building & reviewing project proposals against use cases/operational vignettes and mission problem sets
- Deliver commercial market situational awareness of buy/adopt solutions to meet SATCOM and PNT needs
- Perform multi-mission architecting and Systems Engineering with teams from Space Systems Center (SSC), Space Warfare Analysis Center (SWAC), Space Operations Command (SpOC), and other external organizations in a fast-paced, “badgeless” environment
- Provides leadership on how to best monitor, leverage, and engage with multiple stakeholders to optimize architectures and investments
- Deliver real-time support to Sr Government customers on current portfolio management and future architecture challenges/opportunities
What You Need to be Successful
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant STEM field engineering, mathematics, science, computer science, systems engineering or other similar discipline
- Twelve or more years of relevant experience
- Multi-mission experience in Space Architectures and/or Systems Engineering,
- The ability to build cross-org teams, provide clarity where there is none, define solution spaces and a help provide vector to solve complex problems
- Creative thinking, self-starter with the ability to move across a broad range of technical issues at various complexity levels in real time
- Customer priority focused and proactive in addressing customer’s needs with strategic thinking and ability to succinctly unpack complex problems in real-time
- Ability to do light travel
- Current TS/SCI clearance which is issued by the US government. U.S citizenship is required to obtain a security clearance
How You Can Stand Out
It would be impressive if you have one or more of these:
- Multi-mission experience in DoD Space Architectures and/or Systems Engineering such as GPS and SATCOM programs, model-based architecture, or related space technologies, and R&D
- Previous experience working with senior United States Space Force (USSF) customers
- Advanced STEM degree
- Experience with portfolio management and insight into commercial options for addressing DoD needs and designing future architectures
