Job Summary
The Systems Engineering Division (SED) provides unmatched experience in systems engineering to the U.S. government and to numerous public and private agencies, universities, nonprofit organizations, consortia, and commercial companies involved in the advanced application of space technology. From systems architecture development to system analysis and optimization, astrodynamics, orbital debris, navigation, failure analysis, mission assurance, cost and schedule assessment, and economic market analysis, SED exploits an incredibly broad array of engineering and business disciplines against a diverse and dynamic portfolio of programs and national challenges.
We are looking for a Senior Integration Leader to provide technical leadership and expertise for a wide variety of projects and customers. As a member of The Acquisition Risk and Reliability Engineering Department, you will serve as the integration leader and/or coordinator of a team of technical contributors, which may include advanced or senior level technical/project specialists
What You'll Be Doing
- Identify issues, prioritize tasks, facilitate communications, and act as spokesperson for the working group to management/customers
- Scope requirements for and initiate acquisition of technical support from appropriate corporate resources that are tailored to the needs of national security space
- Monitor and assist in the development of budgets and other resource allocations to accomplish tasks
- Assist programs in applying Mission Assurance principles to the design, development, manufacturing, integration and testing of space and ground systems
- Assist programs with mission assurance requirements flow-down and compliance monitoring.
- Perform risk analysis and risk assessments for space and ground programs
What You Need to be Successful
Minimum Requirements:
- BS or equivalent degree required in mechanical, electrical, or nuclear engineering, computer science, or related field of science or engineering
- Minimum of 12 years of technical experience
- Strong background in space and/or ground systems engineering
- Experience leading successful teams and/or projects
- Familiarity and experience with space and ground system design, development and testing
- Problem-solving skills, including the ability to identify, organize, prioritize, and ensure timely completion of tasks
- This position requires a current and active TS/SCI security clearance, which is issued by the US government. U.S citizenship is required to obtain a security clearance.
How You Can Stand Out
It would be impressive if you have one or more of these:
- Experience with one or more agencies supporting the Intelligence Community
- Knowledge of both DoD and IC acquisition and engineering practices
- Experience with Model-Based Engineering (MBE)
- Graduate degree or experience in risk management, reliability engineering, or systems engineering
- Systems Engineering or Reliability engineering certification desired (e.g. INCOSE or ASQ)
- Experience in agile for enterprise models, i.e. SaFE
