About the role and about You:
As an Information Systems Engineer, you'll provide world-class tech support to fellow Zwifters in a sophisticated environment while collaborating heavily with the Infrastructure and IT experts in our Long Beach Headquarters. You‘ll work independently, anticipating and responding to the needs of Zwifters in technical distress. Your suite of tech-savvy skills will enable you to profile, build, procure, and install approved SW/HW, diagnose any emergent hardware and software ailments, and maintain all IT equipment. Your communication skills and friendly personality ensure solid Zwift vendor relationships and comfort any Zwifter seeking high-tech help.
What you’ll do:
- Be the owner of IT: investigate, seek, and fix problems when needed; utilize IT systems and procedures to continuously improve service methodology
- Maintain, inventory, seek and repair computing infrastructure
- Connect with the team, including leadership, to provide key problem status updates and ensure compliance with Zwift standards and security/compliance policies
- Work with your peers to grow and evolve our current systems and tools, improving efficiency and partnership between Zwifters globally
What we’re looking for:
- Proven ability in network and firewall installation, configuration, maintenance, and solving problems
- Practical knowledge of protocols OSPF, BGP, IPSEC, QOS, DNS, VTP, Broadcast, Multicast, EBGP and HA Clustering
- Understanding of Juniper, Pulse Secure and Palo Alto
- Knowledge virtual chassis technology and VPCs
- Knowledge with various Layer 2 protocols, including but not limited to LACP and RSTP
- Skilled at network security and network security practices, support of a Security Operations Center, network switch and routing protocols, familiarity of network services applications
- Ability to perform problem identification, reporting, and resolution of task
- Knowledge of standard methodologies with VPN technology
- Experience with crafting high traffic networks and security practices for Data Center Networks, which includes security, traffic engineering, network redundancy, and disaster recovery
Bonus points:
- Knowledge of cloud (AWS and Azure) networking and interconnects (transit gate, direct connect, vpc peering)
- Understanding of NAC 802.1x, and Certificate based authentications deployments
- Experience with network automation via a programming language
