The Role

In this Senior Full Stack Engineer role, you will help support our data science application ecosystem by upgrading our gRPC-based data synchronization application and our licensing-related applications.

The Virtualitics Immersive Platform (VIP) allows users to explore data with interactive 3D plots or inside of a VR environment. Multiple users are able to interact through this tool inside of a Shared Virtual Office environment. You will be in charge of improving the performance and reliability of the data synchronization backend of this application.

As our security requirements grow and our application suite expands, it is important that we keep our licensing suite and customer management tools up-to-date. You will assist in supporting these applications and our other web-based applications as time permits.

Responsibilities

• Write high-performance data synchronization code
• Troubleshoot application networking issues
• Develop REST API endpoints with robust automated tests
• Translate design wireframes into prototypes and finished products
• Update database tables and generate SQL queries

Required Qualifications

• Strong programming skills in Python and TypeScript (or JavaScript)
• Familiar with Python web frameworks, especially Flask
• Proficient with React
• Experience debugging application networking issues
• Authorized to work in the US without sponsorship with the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance, which is issued by the S. government

Preferred Qualifications

• Experienced in one of C++, C#, or Java
• Proponent of Agile software development and testing
• Strong understanding of gRPC
• Familiar with Redux
• Proficient at debugging application networking issues
• Comfortable writing SQL queries
• Knowledge of web application security
