You Aspire To: 

Apply construction methodologies, equipment, and techniques to develop and update engineering project cost estimates during all phases of a project. You also aspire to research and investigate on cost data, labor requirements, and site conditions prior to the preparation of budget estimates for Heliogen concentrated solar plants.

• Review design, products, and other data to insure constructibility of the designed project as a part of estimating.
• Recommend construction methods, materials, and equipment to decrease costs and facilitate the completion of project.
• Develop construction schedules for proposed projects.
• Assist with the coordination of Value Engineering (VE) functions during feasibility study and FEED stage of the project.
• Review cost estimate and construction schedule developed by independent engineering contractors.
• Provide cost estimate risk analysis to identify potential project cost overruns

What's Essential:

• A Bachelor's degree in Engineering or relevant work experience.
• 8-10 years experience in cost engineering positions in civil and/ or energy industry.
• Experience and application of Cost Engineering principles.
• Knowledge of engineering and construction projects and processes in the energy industry.
• Experience with computerized Cost Management and reporting systems.
• An understanding of project management principles and techniques.
• Experience coordinating with a multidisciplinary engineering team.
