WHAT IF…

You could drive development efforts to our mobile application, from architecture and design decisions, to collaboration with UI/UX design, to hands-on implementation? We’re looking for a Sr. Android Engineer that is capable of consistently producing high-quality work, who is outstanding in their follow-through, who is not content with partial solutions, and who is thoughtful in both planning and implementation. Most importantly, we’re looking for an individual who is friendly and easy to work with, passionate about their work, and receptive to feedback and professional growth. 

This role will report directly to our Engineering Manager. 

WHAT WILL YOU DO

• Craft an elegant, high-performance mobile user experience regardless of connectivity or device
• Ensure that end users of the PickTrace Android app have an empowering, frictionless experience
• Build a product for users of varying levels of tech-savviness, trust in technology, and demographics
• Develop technical plans and contribute to our architecture as our product scales 
• Assist with creating and implementing best practices for the Android app, from unit and UI testing to CI and our release process 
• Collaborate cross functionally with engineers, product managers, and designers
• Help drive and contribute to mobile architecture discussion and decision making
  

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

• A passionate team-player who is enthusiastic about the Android platform and can help set the technical bar for Android best practices
• 3+ years of experience with the latest technologies for the Android platform, specifically with Kotlin and Gradle
• 2+ years of experience with implementation and UI testing highly preferred
• Deep understanding of mobile performance, latency, and security issues
• Successfully published applications in Google Play, and experienced with Android Market as well as associated distribution processes
• Ultra-proficient with technical details
• Ability to simplify, break down, and hone in on the core elements of problems to drive towards solutions
• Strong communication skills and can work effectively with a cross-functional team (including with non-technical colleagues)
