About the Role
We are seeking an experienced quality assurance specialist who can help us to establish our QA function. We produce a lot of rugs and we take the quality of our product seriously, so we need to get it right the first time. The right candidate will be detail oriented, data driven and meticulous in testing. We also need a leader who is comfortable working cross functionally and enlisting the support of other departments to execute our QA function
What You’ll Do:
- Identify, develop and implement new methods of quality management and systems, and audit existing processes to meet division initiatives, company standards, and other customer requirements
- Design the tools, templates and processes for both the LA and Chicago plants
- Work closely with the procurement and product teams to establish standards and specs for our finished products
- Work closely with our QC team to resolve issues upstream
- Test the quality of our finished products ensuring they meet our very high standards
- Interface with internal and external stakeholders to provide comprehensive responses and technical assistance regarding quality systems and/or products
- Guarantee that only the highest quality products are delivered to our customers.
- Train and educate staff on regulations and best practices.
- Perform internal audits
- Provide quality-oriented leadership in achieving quality objectives
- Manage internal and external quality issues.
- Follow-up on and closing pending preventive and corrective action requests.
- Ensure that organizational systems and training is in place.
- Ensure that documentation and design controls are appropriate for the organization.
- Assist the management team and provide QA support as necessary.
What We’re Looking For:
Strong candidates will have knowledge and experience in a QA function in the US, specifically California. Specific qualifications include:
- 3 to 6 years of QA experience in a consumer focused industry
- Proficient in Excel, Word, Projects, Visio, and Outlook
- Comfort working with international teams and suppliers. Foreign language fluency a plus
