Criteria Corp is looking for a full-time QA Analyst to join our team. In this role, you would participate in all stages of the software development life cycle to design and execute tests, identify and track defects, and complete all necessary tasks that result in the release of high-quality software to our clients. You would also be responsible for understanding the functional requirements of the software, manually testing our software, participating in the automation of tests, and continuously looking for ways to improve our QA process.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in developing test plans, scenarios, and test cases for functional, regression, and system-level test activities for our applications.
  • Participate in sprint and release planning to understand the requirements and ensure we deliver a high-quality product, as well as a great user experience.
  • Assist in bug life cycle management – bug tracking, bug reporting, bug analysis and solution verification.
  • Be the first line of defense for incoming customer escalations, triage issues, and identify root causes or assign to the appropriate team to resolve.
  • Perform manual testing and exploratory testing on new features.
  • Help to identify opportunities to improve and optimize the quality of our software.
  • Assist in the identification of new procedures, methods, and/or tools to improve the efficiency of the QA process

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent experience is preferred
  • 1-2 years Quality Assurance experience is preferred; however, we are willing to train the ideal candidate.
  • Experience or familiarity with working in an Agile environment is preferred. We run two-week sprints, and the ideal candidate will be able to thrive in this environment.
  • Knowledge of web technologies is desired
  • Familiarity with common test methodologies.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
