WHY WE NEED YOU

The Quality Assurance team is responsible for assuring system and product level requirements are compliant to industry standards and we need a Quality Assurance Assistant to support product development of a new transportation system by ensuring that all company procedures & products meet internal quality standards and by maintaining principles of the quality management system. 

 

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

You will aid in QC and Assurance related tasks for both product and processes. Including the responsibilities below: 

  • Controlled of documents adhering to VH’s document lifecycle procedure (using Teamcenter).
  • Review procedures for conforming to regulations and international standard (i.e. ISO9001).
  • Conduct receiving, in-process, and final inspection of articles and assemblies under Inspector’s guidance.
  • Support verification of vendor reports (i.e. material certification, test reports, etc.) and internal fabrication documentation such as work instruction, travelers, and end of line test reports.
  • Basic operation of inspection equipment once programs have been created (i.e. Portable Arms, Bridge CMMs, Laser Trackers).
  • Data entry and verification of completion of Non-Conformance and Corrective Action Report (in Computer Applications)
  • Maintain QC Department SharePoint folder
  • Maintain Internal Audit Schedule and proper control of audit objective evidence
  • Coordinate with supply chain and logistics personnel to support traceability of VH hardware and tools.
  • Coordinate with program management team and inform Quality Engineering on week to week progress.
  • Support Material Review Board as required to ensure non-conformances and corrective actions have been re-verified and driven to closure.

WHAT YOU’VE DONE:

  • Proficient with PC tools such as Access, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, & Project
  • Code Knowledge (not a requirement, a plus – any language)
  • Bachelor’s degree or high school diploma with equivalent work experience
  • Experience running Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) and/or Laser Tracker (Not required, a plus)
  • Experience using basic machine shop tools, caliper, micrometer, gauges and jigs
  • Knowledge of ASME Y14.5 & GD&T principles
  • Knowledge of ISO9001/AS9100/IATF 16949
  • Knowledge of SharePoint and Confluence (Not Required, a plus)
