About the Role:
If you’re comfortable with manual testing, and can also lead a fast-paced team in a high growth environment, then we need your help.
As QA Manager, you will improve quality at Papaya. We build highly rated iOS, Android, and web apps. Success in this role means hands-on manual testing, managing and growing a team of QA Engineers, and rolling out automated and manual testing strategies.
This team is small, so approximately 60% of the work when you start will be manual testing. Over time, the balance will shift towards leading as you hire more QA Engineers.

What you will do:
- Hire and lead QA, starting with a team of 2 QA Engineers
- Introduce best practices to a small but growing team, especially in the areas of test planning, execution and tracking
- Traditional manual testing in a fast paced environment
What you can bring:
- 5+ years of testing well known mobile apps
- Web and API testing experience is optional
- Experience on QA teams that have successfully adopted automation
- Strong understanding of QA best practices
- Excellent communication, both written and verbal
