We are looking for a qa automation engineer to join our development team. You will work to build out and protect an entire ecosystem for our suite of B2B enterprise florist tools as well as features and functionality for our online floral marketplace, BloomNation.com,with more than 3,000 florists across the country. As our team grows you will be an integral part of the future for our company.

Responsibilities

• This role will focus on testing all our of platform, including BloomNation.com, our premium sites, florist dashboard and APIs.

• Expect about 70% of the time building automation tests, and 30% manual testing (with the goal to build an automated test for these manual cases).

• Work with product team to understand existing product features and build out automation tests of key areas of our platform.

• Work with our engineers to understand implementation details and help identify potential edge cases to test.

• Create Test Cases for complex feature sets, and review them with engineers and product teams, and run through cases after QA deployments.

• Run Load Tests on QA and Staging environments to help determine areas of potential risk.

• Participate in production releases and validate new functionality post-production launch.

Qualifications:

• Experience testing REST APIs (Request and Response validation), using tools like Charles and/or Postman

• Understanding of general database concepts (comfortable querying data from MySql to verify data)

• Experience with writing/updating Selenium Scripts 

• Experience with mutiple browers/OS testing with BrowserStack

• Comfortable working in team environment using best practices and tools. We currently use Git/Github for source control, Jira for Story tracking.

• Succinct communicator with the ability to fully explain technical problems and their solutions

• An upbeat attitude - every problem has a solution

Nice to Haves:

• Experience with Java, PHP or Node.js

• Experience with troubleshooting with New Relic

• Experience with Load Testing (jmeter and Blazemeter)

• Experience with eCommerce software

• A degree in Computer Science or related field
