THE PURPOSE:
The Systems/Network Admin works for the internal IT organization in delivery and support of core IT services. This is a hybrid role for augmenting our Network and Systems teams. In addition, this position will partner with our engineering groups to provide infrastructure that enables their organizational goals. This position will report directly to the IT Director.

THE ROLE:
The Systems/Network Admin’s role is to lead or assist in SaaS, Cloud and infrastructure implementations both from a systems and networking point of view. For the right candidate there are also opportunities to expand into the IT Security space. The exciting part of working for a large start-up is architecting change. We are constantly expanding and as a result need to design and continually adjust the infrastructure for expansion, increased requirements and flexibility.

MINIMUM REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

• Strong server experience in Windows and Linux
• Solid understanding of Layer 2 and 3 routing and switching (e.g. STP, MC-LAC, OSPF, BGP, Multicast and Policy-Based Routing)
• Experience in Cisco Identity Management and/or Windows NPS and/or RADIUS
• Knowledge of Cisco ASA especially the FirePower
• Proven experience with systems AND network capacity planning, security principles, and general infrastructure management best practices.
• Deep knowledge of AD, ADsync to O365, ADFS, SSO via SaaS
• Proven experience in systems and network design and development.
• Extensive experience in O365 management, security, etc
• VMware experience preferably 6.0 and higher
• Prefer some experience in cloud: AWS, Google or Azure
• Storage experience, SAN and/or vSAN
• Extensive operational experience orchestrating multi-vendor projects, writing and implementing project plans, managing vendors.
• Load balancer experience both physical and virtual
• Positive, can-do attitude. Willing to help no matter the task.
• Able to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
• Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
• Able to conduct research into networking issues and products as required.
• University degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering and/or 7 years equivalent work experience.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

• Juniper certification
• Microsoft certification
• Other industry certifications – especially cloud provider
• Linux experience
• PHP, PowerShell or other scripting language
• Palo Alto NGFW
• OneLogin
• SLACK
