The Verification Engineering Manager is focused on the development, organization, and management of the Verification Strategy and Methods.  This individual will provide independent oversight on all defined Verification activities, assess requirements and work in cooperation with Product Design, Test, Safety and Systems Engineering to ensure compliance with industry standards such as EN-50126, EN-50128, EN-50129, ARP 4767 and ARP 4754A.  This individual is also responsible for Process and Procedural Development and Improvement within the Verification team and is required to provide mentoring and guidance to entry level and mid-level Engineers working under their supervision.     

• Provide technical leadership, manage team priorities and resources
• Provide mentoring to direct reports on “Best Practices” and Systems engineering principles
• Develop budgetary estimates for identified activities and team needs
• Manage, maintain and report on Verification Engineering project deliverables
• Work with the Engineering Project Management Office (EPMO) to support and ensure that all Verification and Validation (V&V) activities are on target to achieve company milestones
• Strategize and contribute to planning different types of Verification activities (analysis, similarity, testing etc.)
• Introduce and support Continuous Improvement initiatives
• Develop a strategy for stepping through the Verification of varying systems, sub-systems, components, engineering tools and Validation plans
• Provide recommendations on the Verification process steps (review, integration, test) and ensure independence of identified activities and compliance requirements
• Ensure adequacy (completeness, consistency, correctness, relevance and traceability) of the Engineering requirements and documented evidences from initial review through integration and testing within the specified objectives
• Develop tracking methodologies and maintain records on the Verification activities
• Perform other duties as assigned

• Strong experience working, managing and/or developing component and/or system V&V plans
• Advanced knowledge and understanding of Systems Engineering, V&V methodologies (including testing), standards, development lifecycles and related activities
• Strong understanding of requirements traceability culminating in requirements Verification and Validation

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or equivalent discipline
• Experience with medium to large subsystem and system-level assembly and integration
• Experience using IBM Doors, Polarion or similar requirements management tool
• Program/Project Management experience
• Knowledge of or experience working with CENELEC EN -50126/50128/50129 and/or ARP 4754A/ARP 4761 preferred
